Agoraphobia and Hypnosis
---
The fear of crowds is an anxiety disorder which can severely limit the lifestyle of the sufferer. Those who suffer from a fear of crowds often have several symptoms when in or approaching a crowd. These include heightened alertness, increased anxiety, nausea, headaches, excessive sweating, shortness of breath, shaking, chest pains and more.
This leads to those who have a fear of crowds avoiding situations where they may have to confront there fears. Crowded places such as public transport, shopping malls and busy streets are avoided at all cost. If this fear is left untreated, sufferers can find smaller and smaller groups of people affecting them to the point that they no longer leave the house. This is why it is so important to treat a fear of crowds quickly and effectively.
A cycle of fear is created, whereby a sufferer will feel fear when in a crowd of people, and leave in a frightened state. This tells the subconscious mind that you were just in a dangerous situation. Next time you are in a crowd, the subconscious remembers this, and creates even more fear than the last time, in order to help meet your survival needs. This can cause you to be more fearful, and run away sooner when there are less people around than before. This cycle can continue many times, making the sufferer more and more fearful each time.
Hypnosis is a very effective tool for relaxation. It can help calm both the mind and body. A clinical hypnotherapist will typically relax the patient before gradually introducing suggestions of being around people. He will guide you to imagine being round a small amount of people. The hypnotherapist will then gradually increase the number of people when he is sure you are calm and relaxed before each incremental increase. This teaches the subconscious mind that it does not experience any dangers or alarms when around people, and thus breaks the cycle of fear.
The subconscious thinks that it has experienced a situation where you were in a crowd and there were no dangers or fears. The subconscious mind does not know the difference between what it has actually experienced, and what you imagined in trance. Therefore it can quickly grow in confidence that it is perfectly safe to walk amongst people in a crowd.
This is a really effective method of treatment, and borrows from the psychological technique of systematic desensitisation. This is where a patient is gradually introduced to a fear stimulus one step at a time. In this case you might walk to the bottom of your street and back. Then you might go into a small shop, and so on, until you are in a busy shopping arcade with hundreds of people around you. Hypnosis has the advantage that you don’t need to go out and find differing sizes of crowds for you to graduate up to, which is practically almost impossible in the real world.
Hypnosis has a strong scientific foundation, and is tried and trusted by many people around the world. Hypnotherapy is not just confined to stage hypnotists turning people into chickens. It is a safe, powerful, and popular form of therapy which can help transform people’s lives in a positive way.

Better Sales With NLP Hypnosis
These techniques are actually quite easy to learn, so if you want to improve your sales with NLP hypnosis or just want to know the tricks so that you don’t fall for them yourself, read on and find out all you need to know.
---
NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming is about how we make meaning from our experiences. Being able to change the meaning of your products in the eyes of a prospect would be extremely useful to sales professionals. Following are a few of the many NLP patterns that can help do this.
NLP Rapport in a Sales Situation
Building responsiveness in your prospect is what NLP Rapport is really about in a sales context. There are many ways to increase the responsiveness including pacing and leading, opening anticipation loops and covert hypnosis as well as traditional matching and mirroring. The advantage of a good NLP practitioner course is developing systems that are unique for you and you can apply specifically to your environment.
States of Emotion through NLP Techniques
NLP tools can give you choice in how you feel about a particular even. Turning negative thoughts in to positive emotion could have a great effect in a sales environment. For instance you could put down the fear of rejection, desperation to get the next sale, and any lack of confidence. You could replace all this with excitement about meeting the next customer, confidence in yourself, the product and your sales process.
It might be useful to be able to use these NLP tools for yourself, but consider the possibilities when you have learnt to do that same with others whether your sales team or customers. Every sales professional would like the ability to be able to get people interested, curious and excited about themselves, their products and their company.
Understanding the Customer with NLP Techniques
Understanding what drives human behaviour is fundamental to NLP. Using the same techniques you can learn what would compel a person to buy one product and reject another. Underneath the surface people respond to their deepest needs, wants and desires. Having NLP techniques that will uncover these is a route to better sales. If you could attach your product to your customer’s deepest needs how many more sales would you make? A good NLP Practitioner Course could teach you to be able to do this.
Covert NLP Hypnosis in Sales
Once you have cut through all the hype and false expectations about covert language patterns and NLP Linguistic techniques there are a stack of really good applications in a sales situation.
In fundamental terms language is just one filter that operates on our experience of the world. By understanding how this filter operates we can use it to capture and lead the imagination to where you want it to go. This could be getting excited about buying, bypassing objections or even changing beliefs. A simple NLP Hypnotic Language Technique such as future pacing can eliminate buyer’s remorse or bypass expense to focus on results and returns. Having hypnotic persuasion tactics is a powerful addition to a sales professional’s tool kit.
Sales, the Perfect NLP Environment
We have barely scratched the surface of the amount of sales applications there are for NLP. For example using NLP modelling techniques to accelerate your learning from expert sales people, or study techniques to rapidly assimilate new information about your products, competitors and markets. The issue is not about how NLP can help sales professionals but about how can sales professionals survive without an NLP Practitioner Course.

Controlling Your Weight With Hypnosis
The answer is hypnosis! Find out how to harness the power of hypnosis to control your weight and put an end to cravings in the article below.
---
You've decided it's time to lose some weight. A lot or a little, it doesn't really matter. What's important is your decision. Your decision shows you care about you and you want to be healthy and fit, and maybe, just maybe, you want to feel more attractive than you do right now.
And so, full of good intentions you've managed to resist temptation, but life doesn't feel that exciting right now. The initial enthusiasm is dissipating a little. The weight isn't dropping off as fast as it was. You know this is the pattern of weight loss but that slowing down of the weight coming off makes the whole process seem more effortful. While the pounds were falling off it was easy to stay motivated, but one pound in a whole week, it's hardly worth the effort. I'm wasting my time, but no I must be strong and stick at it.
…and this TV program is boring; and now they're eating; there's some chocolate in the fridge; now it's the adverts; more food; I'm bored; chocolate; must resist… and so it goes…
Once that thought of chocolate (and for chocolate you can substitute any forbidden item that you've decided will be ok to keep some supplies of - because others need them, because it would be a waste to throw them away, because I'm going to give myself a treat when I've lost so much weight…) enters your mind the only way you can get rid of it is to eat some chocolate. If you try to ignore that thought, it just gets stronger and louder. It just stays there burrowing away like a grub in an apple, filling your mind until you give in because it has so much more power than you do.
At least this is pretty much what you tell yourself. This is how you make eating the chocolate ok - I'm weak-willed, I couldn't resist, I have no will-power, the thought was too strong. Truth is, you wanted some chocolate and the only way you could give yourself permission to eat it was to make it more powerful than you so you just had to give in to it. If a thought about eating a piece of arsenic wandered into your mind (and, heaven forbid there was some arsenic in the house) you wouldn't have the least problem dismissing it - because you don't really want it. If the thought wandered into your mind about eating faeces, again no problem, dismissed easily. But chocolate… you want that, so you kid yourself it's too powerful and that makes it ok.
This is a game.
It's the game of pretending to lose weight. It's the game of being able to tell people you are on a diet but too weak-willed to resist chocolate. And because there will be other people you know going through exactly the same thing it's like being a member of some select group. It's like being special.
But you do really want to lose weight because you don't like the way you look and you don't like the size of clothes you have to buy. You just don't want to have to stop doing anything you enjoy in order to achieve what you want. You want something for nothing. Nothing wrong with that I hasten to add, I like gifts too. And if that were all it was there wouldn't be much of a problem. But there's another part of your mind that knows that something for nothing is a cheat. Something for nothing deprives you of a sense of accomplishment, a sense of achievement. Feeling a sense of achievement as a result of overcoming a difficulty on your own is what makes life worth living.
The difficulty is your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind isn't on board with what you are wanting to achieve. It isn't aligned with your greater will. Whenever your subconscious mind isn't aligned with your greater will, you will experience self-sabotage. Like with the Chocolate Thought, like with wanting something for nothing but not allowing yourself to have it because it's cheating.
Whenever your subconscious needs re-alignment, hypnosis is the tool to use. Hypnosis doesn't remove your sense of achievement or accomplishment. What it does do is to facilitate your enjoyment of eating healthily, and resisting the 'wrong' foods. It helps you to feel good about yourself during the process so that you are not so concerned about the speed of weight loss, but more concerned with learning to enjoy creating a healthy diet for yourself. Hypnosis for weight loss isn't actually about dieting, it's about changing your view of you and re-aligning your deeper drives and beliefs so you don't have to fight or resist any thoughts. They will most probably not be there to resist, but if they are you'll simply and effortlessly ask yourself the question, in response to the thought, is eating chocolate right now in alignment with my intention to lose weight. A simple question to which you can answer honestly. But if you still want the chocolate you will just choose to eat it. No fight no battle, you'll just be aware that you're doing something that isn't consistent with what you want, but that right now that's what you're going to choose.
This approach removes guilt. Guilt drives weight accumulation. As soon as any food isn't forbidden, your desire for it will lessen or disappear.

Why You Need To Learn Hypnosis
You can get in at the ground level of this movement very easily, all you need to do is start developing your mind with hypnosis.
---
Hypnosis is growing in popularity every year. This has a lot to do with the fact that people are learning more about it and discovering the great advantages it has to offer. They are finding that it can help with a variety of things ranging from improving confidence to helping with weight loss. Yet, in the past there were many misconceptions about hypnosis that kept people from exploring all of its benefits. However, since many of these myths have been put to rest (for example that only weak-minded people can be hypnotized or that hypnotists have complete power over those who they hypnotize) and people are learning the truth about the technique of hypnosis, it’s quickly becoming a way for many people to improve the quality of their life.
One great thing about this technique is that it can be used in all areas of a person’s life. For instance, if you have been trying to stop smoking and find it too difficult, then it’s possible to use the technique of hypnosis to help you be successful. Weight loss is another great reason that millions of people use hypnosis. It can help to curb your appetite so you won’t crave all the junk food that packs on the pounds. There have been cases in which people, with the aid of hypnosis, have lost upwards of 70 Lbs. In addition people using hypnosis have been able to increase their confidence and turn around their struggling businesses, and make them successful and profitable once again.
Hypnosis is learned by professionals for clinical purposes. They are used to help people who are suffering from drug additions, alcoholism and more. This technique can be used to help control and manage pain in people who have chronic illnesses or injuries. It can’t eliminate the pain, hypnosis is not a magical spell but rather a alteration of a person state of mind. Yet this can still be very helpful and in terms of chronic pain, it can make living with it much easier. Hypnosis can also help to relieve anxiety, reduce fears and help control some medical problems such as high blood pressure and asthma.
Another way that in which hypnosis has been successfully used is with sleep. If you are one of the millions of people that suffer from insomnia, hypnosis may be the answer you’ve been searching for. It can help you sleep better so you can enjoy a good nights rest. If you are a writer hypnosis can help you too. Since almost all writers are forced to take breaks when they are suffering from writer’s block, they sometimes lose their train of thought and have trouble getting back into their writing. This of course can prevent them from finishing specific projects. Hypnosis can be used to help relieve writers block and help you start pumping out those ideas in no time.
Hypnosis can help people get a new perceptive on life so you can start over and make the changes needed to enhance your life. Of course, there are some people that want to learn hypnosis to have the ability to perform in front of an audience. This is all in fun and strictly for entertainment purposes. Whatever your reason for wanting to learn hypnosis, there are several options available that will make learning how to do this technique easy.
As has been demonstrated hypnosis is practical to anyone. Yet still many people do not seek it out. This could be due to the fact that they believe they have to see a psychotherapist in order to use hypnosis. Yet hypnosis can be learned by going to seminars, schools and using techniques that allow you to teach yourself. Many people believe that these self hypnosis products are just scams and are thus scared away, but they work! Whether they are tapes, videos and books all have been shown to be affective. But it must be remembered that if you choose to learn hypnosis on your own, you must have an open mind and lots of patience. It may take some practice before you master the technique of hypnosis but it will prove to be worth the time and effort you put into it.

Lose Weight With Hypnosis Downloads
---
Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and come to the realization, “Gee, I need to lose some weight”? Well you wouldn’t be the first, and you also wouldn’t be the first if you started a weight loss program that very day, only to have completely given up on it just a few days later. There’s a very simple reason for this, most people don’t go into weight loss programs in the right frame of mind to make it succeed. How do you get into this right frame of mind? Hypnosis!
Hypnotherapy (the use of hypnosis for therapeutic means) has shown a great deal of success in helping people lose weight, and unlike most methods it actually results in long-term weight loss. It’s of no use to lose 10lbs over three months if you put it back on again soon after. Hypnosis works where other methods fail because it connects with the subconscious mind and places suggestions that work towards to achieve your goal, in this case weight loss.
At this point you may be thinking, “I can’t afford to hire a hypnotherapist!”, and in this current economy that is more than understandable. Fortunately the internet has brought forth an entirely new genus of hypnotherapy, the hypnosis download. You can now purchase a couple of hypnosis downloads, one focusing on weight loss and the other on exercise motivation and listen to them at your convenience. The beauty of this is that you only have to make a one time payment, and on most sites you can get this sort of package for around $30.
Just imagine the inner-power that brings you. You are effectively commanding your subconscious, the most powerful part of the mind, to focus on sensible weight loss and regular exercise. That’s more than all the motivation you need to start dropping the pounds and become slim and healthy, and you’re not relying on any club, diet or “magic system” - it’s all coming from inside you!
That’s in essence is what hypnosis is all about. It’s giving people the power to positively change their life in anyway they wish.
When it comes to losing weight positive thinking really is what it’s all about. So as well as the regular use of hypnosis downloads there are a few simple tips I have for you that help keep you in that positive frame of mind.
Weigh Yourself Once A Week - And only once a week! Choose a day and time and only weigh yourself then. While it’s tempting to monitor your weight loss extremely regularly it’s actually counter-productive. Your weight fluctuates throughout the day and speaking from personal experience I’ve seen my weight fluctuate by 6lbs, and I weigh around 150lbs. When some people see a fluctuation like this they think they’re gaining weight and that they’ve failed the weight loss program when in actuality it’s something that happens to everyone.
Take Measurements - I’ve dealt with people who’ve been unhappy with the slow progress of their weight loss who have not even realised how much better they’ve looked just by dropping a few pounds. Good places to measure are the stomach, chest and thighs. Because exercise tones and strengthens muscle some people don’t lose as much weight as they originally wished by they lose many inches from around the stomach, chest and thighs because they’ve burned fat and replaced it with lean muscle. You can co-ordinate measuring with your weighing.
Write Out Weight Loss Goals - And put them somewhere you’ll see them everyday. Split a piece of paper in two and have a section for daily goals and long-term goals. Your daily goals might be “Do 30 minutes of exercise” and “Eat 5 portions of fruit and vegetables”, these are relatively easy goals to achieve and as you tick them off each day you will feel successful. They will also help you achieve your long-term goals which might be “Lose _lbs this year” or “Get down to a size _ dress”.
This sort of positive thinking and motivation will carry you through and make your goal of weight loss a complete success. One weight loss tip that isn’t so much to do with mindset but well worth mentioning is that you should take a good quality multivitamin once a day. This gets your body working at maximum efficiency and also greatly reduces cravings for food. Many people eat too much because their body is crying out for proper nutrients but the food they are eating isn’t supplying them with these. So they eat, and eat, and eat, not getting the nutrients they need but getting the excess calories.
You now have all the information you need to make your weight loss program a total success. Don’t believe me? Take the first step and get yourself a weight loss hypnosis download and just watch as the pounds begin to melt away.
I wish you the very best of success.

They have also made free hypnosis readily available online.

Why You Can’t Stop Smoking
Hypnotherapy is scientifically proven to be the most successful method for giving up smoking. It’s quick, easy and the subject often doesn’t even experience any cravings. Find out more by reading on…
---
Thousands of dollars spent yearly on cigarettes and millions of deaths result from smoking. If you've asked yourself why you should give up smoking these are just two of the most solid reasons to quit today. Think about it, no seriously take a minute of what you're doing right now and think about the corporate executives sitting around the boardrooms, flapping their fat bellies around, discussing new ways to improve their markets. Are you aware of the fact that their success only depends on you as a smoker? Nobody should start in the first place but trust me it's all about the billions of dollars these huge corporations earn each and every year, and that's just because of you!
The tobacco corporations have very thick pockets, spending billions each year in advertising campaigns, and they do know how to keep their customers 'happy'. Seriously! The sad part is that they want you to die as a smoker, otherwise they'd go bankrupt in no time. Therefore their bottom line only depends on your smoking habit.
Quit smoking today or you'll increase the chances of getting serious illness, sooner of later. Stopping smoking isn't easy and I'm sure you need professional help. What if I told you that you could stop smoking within a week? .. Smoking is a body and mind action, that you can learn to control and quit for good. Yes you got it right, body and mind!
Lets have a look for a minute at several factors when smoking. I haven't ever heard someone saying "I love how this cigarette tastes!". Have you? No of course not! Your body doesn't need the nicotine, it actually rejects it every time you have a cigarette. Coughing, spits, hacks are just some of the things that best prove your body rejects cigarettes and you need to quit. Bottom line, the addiction to nicotine is getting worse and worse as you continue to smoke. It will be a lot harder to quit in 2 year's time.
I don't find it fascinating at all that most of the smoking aids do not take into consideration one of the most important things when someone decides to quit smoking, which is your mind. Pills, patches, inhalers, nicotine gums and the latest product released -- the electronic cigarette have a very low success rate, most people fail and you might know this already. Still wondering why you haven't been able to quit smoking? It's not only you.. but with such smoking aids most people will fail!
The best approach when someone finally decides to give up smoking for ever is by teaching and actually manipulating your mind, which is the very part of you that started this bad habit in the first place. Your mind. Using hypnotherapy or NLP will not only help you quit smoking for good but you'll also be able to overcome this habit without having to suffer the cravings.
One more thing that smokers aren't aware of: There is a big difference between smoking natural grown tobacco and smoking 'popular brands'. Either of them are harmful, but the latter contains more than 4000 deadly substances. Most of the substances that are added to cigarettes is highly guarded and protected by the law as a trade secret. Try to imagine that. It's the public's health and it's a trade secret. Something just isn't right.
The only thing that is right to do is to quit smoking today. If you manage to give up cigarettes you'll immediately notice you are a lot more healthier, you'll have a better taste and smell, you'll stop coughing and spitting and enjoy your life just as you are supposed to!
So if you decide to quit smoking, you need to realize that quitting is all about a body and mind process, therefore quitting can only be done with hypnotherapy or NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming).

Break Your Limits With Sports Hypnosis
Could sports hypnosis be what you’re looking for?
---
When dealing with pressure-filled and demanding situations, we are the only ones responsible for holding ourselves back. Mental toughness and the power of belief can become your best friends or your most challenging inner demons. We all use excuses to represent reasons for not achieving athletic success. Whether we blame our shortcomings on our lack of physical abilities or on our opponents, we are the only people in command of shifting this power into positive energy, motivation, and determination. Mental training through sports hypnosis can help you to identify and address these distractions and then help you to push forward to create a mindset that will allow you to achieve your full potential.
Arguably the most important component for achieving ultimate success, self-belief largely impacts performance and can dictate the outcome of any athletic challenge or scenario. When you think negatively, you create mental blocks that prevent you from reaching your full potential. Sports hypnosis can help you to reduce the stresses and mental inhibitions that you inflict upon and within yourself. Further, effective mental training through the medium of sports hypnosis can help you to boost your concentration, overcome distractions, and enable you to achieve your desired performance levels. When you firmly believe in your ability to outwit or outlast your competition, then you view your opponent as inferior and have a much better chance of achieving your goal than if you had viewed your opponent as a threat to your success. Validating your own self-worth and belief in your skills is often the catalyst in triggering peak performance.
Professional mental training will enable athletes to develop strong and focused minds. Learning how to positively visualize the results of your athletic actions will lead to more success stories. If you're a basketball player with natural talent, but negative thoughts, then the chances of you sinking your shots consistently will start to drastically drop. Conversely, if you're an avid golfer that can visualize sinking putts, then the fluid motion of your shot or swing will more closely resemble the scenario that you had mentally rehearsed and will likely translate into fewer strokes and lower scores. Leveraging sports hypnosis to take control of your mentality will enable you to increase your confidence and, in turn, afford you the opportunity of achieving your full potential and becoming a complete athlete.
Further, sports hypnosis can help athletes to resolve deeper psychological problems. Mental training allows you to address and eradicate thoughts related to past poor performances. Once you've overcome your anxieties about these situations, you'll be able to properly and positively visualize yourself succeeding in future challenges. In order to achieve your goals, you must define them prior to beginning sports hypnosis. Once you've done this, you can more effectively concentrate your energies during your trances, visualize your successes, and conquer your demons.

Christianity vs. Hypnosis
---
Today, I was universally blessed to be brought face to face with resistance to hypnosis and metaphysical practices by the Christian community. Timing could not be more perfect since I was trying to figure out how to discuss a controversial issue in this magazine. As a hypnotist, I’ve been told by other hypnotists that a portion of the Christian community views hypnosis as “devils” work. Yet, I’d never been exposed to it firsthand. I never believed it was a real issue until today. The issue has never been in my awareness before and I attribute it to the basic law of attraction, i.e.…Because I never thought about the resistance, I never had to deal with it. Until now.
I met with a wonderful woman today. So full of kindness, generosity and intellect. We were discussing our businesses in an effort to provide more referrals for each other. She asked me about my practice and what my approach was to hypnosis. We spoke for a while and had a great conversation. Then, as the drum roll crept up through the coffee shop, she asked, “So, how do you approach those who feel hypnosis is a ‘bad’ thing?” I looked at her with a puzzled expression not quite sure what she was referring to as ‘bad’ and that prompted her to continue. She took a deep breath and said, “Ok, I’m just going to say it… I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian family as did my husband. Not that I’m a fundamentalist now, but I still have those ideas and beliefs engrained in my head. I was taught that hypnotists, tarot card readers, psychics and the like were ‘bad’.” It was at that point that I knew what she was referring to. I was taken aback because I did not have a canned answer for her. I never want to offend anyone especially since I don’t hold judgment against individual belief systems. How could I? I work with peoples belief systems all day long!
Because I believe so completely and fully in the healing power of hypnosis, I just answered her as I would anyone interested in understanding what hypnosis is and offered her information to take the mysticism out of the myth. I explained that hypnosis is not about mind control. The person in trance is always fully aware of what is happening and in total control of their experience. I explained that the hypnotist cannot make anyone do anything they are not comfortable with. If at any time a client feels uncomfortable with the session, all they have to do is emerge themselves and it would be over. I expressed how the ability to go into a deep state of meditation to change your programming so that you can become better connected to your higher power and your higher self is a gift that can only empower the individual. When one is empowered, life begins to feel more peaceful and calm. When one is empowered they feel the love of God and experience the fruits of the surrender.
After speaking with her, I began to understand her concerns and fears. I realized that the church and state are strong bedfellows looking for the same outcome – control. I asked myself why would the church benefit by calling those of us in the metaphysical realm, ‘bad’? The answer came as fast as I asked it… “To maintain control and order”. Funny thing is it sounds a lot like Hitler’s main objective! An even funnier realization is that churchgoers exposed to this misperception are hypnotized to believe this in the first place! Some of the biggest hypnotists are heads of church and state. They utilize the same tools that hypnotists use to get people in a state of heightened suggestibility, and then offer suggestions that can be readily accepted. For example, it has been scientifically proven that we, as human beings, are more suggestible when we are; age 7 and younger, in heightened states of emotional turmoil, waking in the morning and as we fall asleep. Now, if the church head preaches about the horror of hypnosis, tarot cards, and metaphysics to young children and highly emotional adults the audience’s minds are highly suggestible and will readily accept that programming as true. Not much different than the whole fiasco on the “war on terror”. Get the mass media involved to run ads and snippets every 2 minutes showing the 911 attacks and add the words “war on terror” you’ve got the perfect recipe for mind programming.
But why do the media and the church get involved in these practices in the first place? That is easy, they need to control the masses, and they need to control them in their favor. Just like the winning vote. If you want to control anyone you must instil fear into their beings so they latch onto your interest for protection and hope. Because metaphysics and hypnosis embrace empowerment, which leads to questioning of authority, it has to be forbidden by Church and state. Therefore, it is not surprising that many Western Religions conform to the urban legend that hypnosis is the “devils work”. It is ok for them to use it behind the scenes in the most deceptive manner, but to put it on a shingle outside a wellness center is “devil worship”. Makes perfect sense, right?
Well, none of it has to make sense. The key to dealing with the opposing views and misperceptions is truth and understanding. Now that I’ve had the opportunity to respond directly to the erroneous belief about hypnosis, I have a better handle on why it is in existence. I know that the best way for hypnotists to handle these questions in the future is by being an example of what hypnosis really is. By acting in truth and integrity for the self and the industry. Myths and legends only exist as long as people believe in them. As truth and integrity continue on, it is possible to see radical shifts in these ancient misperceptions!

Susceptibility To Hypnosis
---
Hypnosis is a fascination field of study - it's a way of exploring the unchartered territories of our minds.
Hypnosis has been successfully used for medical, therapeutic, business and personal matters.
Just a couple of months ago, the Queen Fabiola of Belgium at the age of 80 years used hypnosis instead of drugs to undergo surgery without the use of anesthetic drugs. Medical doctors performed open heart surgery with patients successfully only by sedating them with hypnosis.
But different people have different kinds of hypnotic susceptibility. Some people can experience deep hypnotic trances very easily. Others seem almost "unhypnotizable".
Research has shown that about 10% of the population is extremely hypnotizable. Then there is about 70-80% of the population who have medium hypnotizability. And then there are 10-20% of the population who have a very hard time to experience hypnotic states.
What is the reason for that? Well, just as each one of us has his or her own personality traits, his or her own fingerprint, each and every one of us also has his or her own way of going into trance.
This is specially true for those 10-20% who are seemingly "unhypnotizable". These people go into hypnotic states in very different ways from the majority of the population. Trying to hypnotize them with the methods that work for the majority of the population is just not gonna do it. It's like trying to open a lock with the wrong key. It won't work. But that doesn't mean that something is wrong with the lock - it's just the key. If you have the right key, the lock will open.
Unfortunately, most hypnotists don't have those "keys". They learned the standard procedures with slight variations, and they are satisfied with that. They call those "unhypnotizable" clients resistant, and tell them: if you don't really want to be hypnotized, then I can't hypnotize you.
The sad part is that many of these people paid a lot of money because they wanted to be hypnotized. But they just can't if the hypnotist doesn't come up with a hypnotic induction that suits their mental blueprint.
Everybody is hypnotizable. It doesn't matter if you're left-brain or right-brain dominant. It doesn't matter if you're young or old. It doesn't matter if you're smart or dumb. It doesn't matter if you're this or that.
What matters is that you get the kind of hypnotic induction that suits you. That's the problem with all those "hypnosis CDs". They are done to suit "the majority", but people with a different kind of hypnotic susceptibility won't respond to that.
In fact, hypnotic susceptibility can change over time for each one of us. Research indicates that prolonged isolation and sensory deprivation lead to enhanced susceptibility.
It can also be "trained", by exercising the mind in specific manners. If one extremely absorbs himself in imaginative activity, this has shown to enhance hypnotic susceptibility.
Michael Diamond reported about studies that tried to alter susceptibility by experimenting with music, psychedelic drugs, operant conditioning, relaxation training, biofeedback and other methods. These studies haven't been scaled up to be confirmed, but on a small scale it worked.
If you want to experience hypnotic states of consciousness but are having trouble to let go of conscious control, the first thing you should do is relax. There is nothing wrong with your way of doing things. Finding a skilled hypnotist, learning more about the hypnotic process and exercising your mind are all things that you can do to enhance your hypnotic susceptibility.

Make Fasting Easy With Hypnosis
Find out more about the fascinating link between fasting and hypnosis by reading on…
---
Most of us experience hunger as anything but joyful. When pangs of hunger strike, most of us experience them as the enemy. Often hunger makes us confused, tired, and irritable. Worst of all; hunger pains can lead us to overeat, or to eat sweets and other junk food. Under the dire influence of hunger, we fear we will lose control of our dietary discipline, and stuff ourselves with food. So we learn to fear hunger itself.
But there is another side of hunger. People who are experienced fasters and many athletes know that there is a powerful and beneficial side to hunger. Hunger can be made into our friend, and an excellent friend indeed, who can not only help us to lose weight but can also help us strengthen and heal our bodies. I will show in this article how we can use the powers of hypnosis to help create this new relationship to hunger.
Hundreds of medical studies have proven that when the body is fasting, (Skipping one or more meals) it naturally performs many healing functions. Here are some of the physical benefits of fasting:
- Resting the digestive system, and allowing it to rebalance its digestive enzymes, probiotics (healthy bacteria, which are essential for digestion), rest and rebuild its muscular walls and membranes, and dispose of waste.
- Cleansing the organs of the body and the entire circulatory system of both the normal toxins that are the by-products of healthy metabolism, and the dangerous environmental toxins that surround us.
- Rebuilding muscle, connective tissue, and organs—most experts agree this can only be done when we are fasting or sleeping.
- Activating the immune system to fight bacterial and viral infections, tumors, and other parasites.
- Re-establishing a healthy blood sugar balance. This is why fasting has for centuries been recommended for diabetes sufferers.
- For those who need to lose weight, skipping meals when done as a part of a carefully managed program can be very effective.
Yes, these are benefits of fasting, which can start adding up even by skipping just one meal per week. These benefits are proven to lead to greater health and longevity. As just one example, medical researchers have determined that when lab rats are given only 50% of the food they usually eat, they live much healthier lives, and live 40% longer than similar lab rats on a regular diet. For more information about the benefits of fasting, I recommend the writings of Paavo Airola, one of the great luminaries in the field of holistic nutrition and cleansing diets, and the works of Ed Bauman, teacher of nutrition in Sonoma County California. Or find a naturopathic physician or nutritionist in your area to assist you in creating a program that is right for you.
But there are also the joys of fasting. Once we can overcome the panic reactions many of us associate with hunger, fasting can actually be a joyful experience. Like many other experienced fasters, I find that in the state of mild hunger I feel good. Here is some of what it feels like.
Once the body’s blood sugar reaches a balanced state, one has considerably more energy when the digestive system is resting. I find it easier to hike, rock climb, and run for many miles when I am fasting, or at least eating very little.
In a state of mild food deprivation ones senses and emotions become extremely acute. While this sensitivity may be uncomfortable in some environments, I find my increased senses of sight, hearing, and smell to be usually quite delightful. While in this heightened state, the whine of a motorcycle engine grates severely on my nerves. But this is more than compensated for by the extraordinary beauty of a symphony on my CD player or the sun shimmering on the water of the lake across the street. My sense of smell becomes especially acute, so that every walk outdoors brings a symphony of delicious fragrances. (Thank God my multiple pollen and chemical and mold allergies have been healed with hypnosis!) I suspect that this sensory acuity, especially to aromas, is an ancient adaptation. After all when our body is hungry all our senses turn on to help our bodies locate food.
Once my body reaches a balance I find it easy to call upon and communicate with my inner guides. There is something about fasting which opens the higher spiritual channels. This special quality of fasting has been in the literature of the mystics and saints for at least 2000 years, and is as true now as it was then.
Ironically, a primary benefit from occasional fasting is the reduction of hunger symptoms. I used to be always obsessed with food, and suffered frequent and disturbing cravings. I could hardly go two hours without a snack, which I justified by my self diagnosis of hypoglycemia. Once I became comfortable with being a little bit hungry, and taking a 20 minute nap instead of a sugary treat when I was tired, I felt the shackles of a food addiction were removed from me. Now most of my day I don’t even think about food. And boy, are there lots of more fun things than food to think about!
So how can hypnosis help us to move from hunger as the enemy to hunger as a faithful friend? Let me count the ways.
First, we can use hypnosis to speak directly to the stomach, letting it know that a little hunger is a good thing, and instructing it to relax on command.
We can also use regression to access memories in which hunger was associated with pain, fear, abuse or neglect. We can then rescue the inner child from these traumatic experiences. Then we teach the inner child that their adult self is with them during their brief experiences of fasting to give them extra love and reassurance. This can help eliminate the intense emotional reaction to hunger.
When you feel hunger as painful, you may find it helpful to drink liquids, especially warm tea or fruit juice diluted to half strength with water. Certain vitamin and mineral supplements, or even liquid meals, can also help put your hungry feelings to bed while speeding up your body’s recovery abilities. This gives the stomach a relaxed feeling of fullness and lifts blood sugar very gently, all without disturbing the healing process and sensory/spiritual powers of fasting. Hypnosis can be used to reinforce this healthy habit.
So if you are ready to enjoy the benefits of hunger, ask your nutritionist for ideas on how to make meal skipping work for you. If you have a serious illness, fasting could even be a big part of the solution, provided you work closely with a naturopathic physician and your regular doctor. And a hypnotherapist can help the whole process of healing your illness, as well as make fasting an easier and more comfortable process for you. Enjoy fasting…give your body the gift of health…and give your consciousness the gift of joy.

A Discussion on HypnoBirthing
Find The Best Hypnosis Downloads
This guide will help you to do that research so that you make the right decision.
---
Hypnotherapy has received a significant boost in popularity recently thanks to mainstream hypnotists such as Paul McKenna and the tremendous amount of celebrity endorsement it has received. Stars from Matt Damon to Ellen Degeneres have found great success using hypnosis to break bad habits, and all of this drums up great interest in the public. Sadly though not everyone is in the financial position to hire a professional hypnotherapist to help them achieve their goals.
With the advent of the internet has come an entirely new medium, one which has completely revolutionized the field of hypnotherapy. Those curious in using hypnosis to instigate a positive change within themselves no longer have to spend hundreds, or even thousands of dollars on a in-person visit to a hypnotherapist. Thanks to the wonders of technology you can now find a hypnosis download for almost any problem you can think of in a matter of minutes for as little as ten dollars!
What is a Hypnosis Download?
A hypnosis download is a digital recording (mp3) produced by a hypnotherapist. Due to their nature as a resell-able product a hypnotherapist can create a hypnosis download and charge considerably less for it than then would a one to one session. For example a hypnotherapist who may charge $200 an hour for a personal session might only charge $15 for a hypnosis download which takes them an hour or two to record. Because they can expect to sell hundreds of the hypnosis downloads they are actually making more money than they would from a personal session.
When you also take into consideration that you can re-listen to a hypnosis download over and over again, at your leisure it’s easy to see when this has become the most popular method of hypnotherapy available.
How Do I Choose From All These Hypnosis Downloads?
The attractiveness of digital hypnosis recordings has helped see hundreds of hypnosis download sites spring up over the internet. It of course goes without saying that some are better than others, so how do you ensure that you find the right hypnosis download for you from a reputable hypnotherapist? With so much choice it can be tricky and that is why I have created this short list to help you.
1. Check The Hypnotherapist’s Background and Qualifications.
Any site selling hypnosis downloads that is worth its salt will provide you will information on the hypnotherapist they use to record their sessions. You want to make sure you get at least a name, background and their qualifications as a hypnotherapist. If you can’t find this anywhere on the site then there’s a good chance that either the site doesn’t use a professional hypnotherapist or that the site is poorly put together. Whatever the reason you should probably avoid making a purchase.
2. Find a Free Sample.
This is a good mark of whether a site is proud of its product or not. If you can’t find a free sample of one of their hypnosis downloads, whether it be 30 seconds or 30 minutes then you really can’t trust the quality they provide.
Samples are important for another reason. Going into a hypnotic state of mind is a lot harder if you struggle to understand the hypnotherapist’s accent. An accent is entirely subjective of course and we all have one, but while someone may enjoy hearing a British hypnotherapist someone else may not.
3. Test the Customer Service.
Before you buy a hypnosis download it is well worth contacting the site’s customer service with any questions you might have. Then you can judge how helpful they’ll be if you need to contact them for any reason after you’ve made your purchase.
4. Look for the Refund Policy.
While hypnosis downloads tend to have high success rates they don’t always work. It could be that you’re not that susceptible to hypnotherapy or the session just wasn’t right for you. So in the unlikely event that you aren’t happy with your purchase you need to know your rights when it comes to a refund. Some sites don’t offer refunds because of the digital nature of the products, but most will give you a certain period of time to contact them if you wish to receive a refund.
5. The More Information The Better!
Basically the more information you can find about a website and their products the more likely they are to be trustworthy and high quality. One important factor is the run time of the hypnosis download. I’ve seen sessions varying from ten minutes to two hours, you have to decide what’ll be right for you. For some people quick sessions are very effective, and they obviously don’t take up a lot of time. Others prefer to spend hours in an hypnotic state.
Price is also significant in your choice. In my experience you don’t have to spend over twenty dollars to get a great, high quality hypnosis download. In fact you should probably be more wary of high priced hypnosis downloads as the hypnotherapist may be more concerned with making money than the treatment they offer, it can also be more difficult to get a refund on the more expensive hypnosis downloads.
I hope this guide has provided you with all the knowledge you need to pick the perfect hypnosis download for your needs.

The Truth About Hypnotherapy
---
Okay, so some of you are familiar with hypnotherapy. You’ve heard it can be used for curing a number of ailments including stress, alcoholism and the like. But, if I were to ask, how many people do you know who’ve been treated by a hypnotherapist, it’s possible you may not recall any! Of course, you’d know those, who regularly visit a shrink or associations like the Alcoholics Anonymous. So, why don’t people make a beeline for hypnotherapy? To find out the answer to this question, and also about what hypnotherapy has to offer, just read on.
Hypnotism defined
Mention hypnotism and you’ll straightaway relate it to occult or magic, probably influenced by the famous magicians who manage to make whole buildings disappear right in front of your eyes! Despite these fantastic feats, hypnotism remains simply a method of bringing on an artificial state of sleep in the subject by the power of suggestion. That’s why the word hypnosis, derived from the Greek word hypnos, means sleep. It induces a state of reduced consciousness, where the subject remains awake, can talk and move, but becomes highly susceptible to suggestions.
The origin of hypnotism
Hypnotism is nothing new. It has always been a powerful tool of the occult. Witchdoctors and shamans have used it for thousands of years. However, the first use of hypnosis was in the seventeenth century and that too on animals. It was successfully used to calm chickens by balancing wood shavings on their beaks or tying their heads to the ground and drawing a line with chalk in front of their beaks. The French farmers even used it on hens to sit on eggs not their own!
The modern history of hypnotism is nothing but a seesaw battle between the believers and the skeptics. Dr. Franz Anton Mesmer applied this science to humans, though he termed it as magnetism. James Braid, a Scottish surgeon, introduced hypnotism as a modern day concept in 1843. Prior to Freud, this was the only known method of psychotherapy and was even used for performing major surgical operations, including amputations!
The power of hypnotherapy
Why hypnotherapy is preferred to other forms of healing is because it usually speeds up the therapeutic process. What might take months or years of regular psychotherapy can usually be accomplished within weeks with this therapy.
Hypnotherapy is effective in curing addictions, phobias, stress, anxiety and insomnia. It has been used for providing motivation, and building self-confidence and self-esteem. It has even come to the aid of those wanting to lose weight, stop smoking, become a better public speaker and overcome fear of heights.
However, hypnotherapy is no magic. And it certainly can’t make you a superhero! For example, it can’t make you run a cross-country out of the blue, unless you are already a runner. But to a cross-country runner it can give a psychological edge that may make a difference between a gold and a bronze medal. Hypnosis can be likened to a tool, like a knife. You don't expect a knife to cut vegetables for you. But its availability makes it a whole lot easier to cut them the way you desire, rather than using your own hands! So, in other words, hypnosis is the tool that a hypnotherapist wields in curing your ailments.
This brings us to the important issue of selecting the right hypnotherapist.
Selecting a hypnotherapist
A hypnotherapist is a person who induces hypnotic state in you. Now, this sounds dicey, because, once hypnotized, you may come under his will and bidding. It’s this feeling of vulnerability, which discourages most from preferring this kind of therapy. And that’s probably why people don’t usually make a beeline for a hypnotherapist! However, the answer to the question, “Can I be made to do things against my will?” will come a little later in this article.
So, what’s the method of selection? Well, there’s no foolproof method of selecting the right hypnotherapist any more than there is a guaranteed way to select the right physician, lawyer, accountant or a mechanic! However, reputation counts and you may get to know of good hypnotherapists from your personal physician, family or friends, workplace or the Yellow Pages. You can also get hold of a list of professional associations or go through the International Registry of Professional Hypnotherapists.
However, whether the recommended hypnotherapists measure up to your requirement will depend entirely upon you. Their suitability depends upon various factors like personality, ideology (that may affect a good rapport), and also the nature of your problem. Although the best indication of a good professional is his satisfied clients, in this case, this isn’t so, because of the highly personalized nature of this therapy. That’s why someone’s recommended hypnotherapist may not, at times, turn out to be good enough for you.
So, what’re you to do? There’re a number ways in which you can choose a good hypnotherapist. In your first meeting have a long chat to find out your comfort level with him. Answer questions like: Do I feel welcome and accepted? Does their nearness give me pleasant vibes? Does their office feel like a haven? Do they seem knowledgeable enough? Are they genuinely interested in my problems and me? Do they ask a lot about me and really listen? Do they appear hopeful?
You may also need to find out about his background, professional qualifications, years in practice and experience with your kind of problem. In addition:
- -Find out if your problem can be treated without hypnosis. -Be clear about the hypnotherapy procedure. Will hypnosis be physically induced or help of audiotapes be taken. -Know if personalized service, tailored to your needs, will be provided. Settle for nothing less. -Ask if someone can accompany you for the session. Genuine hypnotherapists would be delighted to find a friend or relative with you. -Find out if the session can be tape-recorded. Well-meaning hypnotherapists would let you do it for later use at home, as reinforcement. -Ask for references and memberships in hypnotherapy associations. -Know whether self-hypnosis will be taught. Hypnotherapists with your interests at heart will automatically do so to help you become self-reliant. -Find out about the fee structure, but don’t be overly concerned with the per session fee. If you’re able get cured in the appropriate number of sessions, a high fee would seem like a bargain!
However, don’t be overly concerned about the time or the number of sessions your problem may take, as there are far too many variables. Also, don’t ask about the success rate, as this is no indication for your chances of success.
The methods employed by hypnotherapists
A hypnotherapist has a choice of a number of techniques for hypnotic induction. The six main induction categories are:
- a. Eye fixation or fixed gaze method: As the name implies, in this method the subject is required to gaze at a spinning disc, or some such thing, to get into a trance. However, it’s not a very successful method as most subjects fail to respond to it. b. Progressive relaxation and imagery method: This involves having the subject imagine being in a safe or peaceful place, and then awakening him or her to full consciousness. c. Mental confusion method: This is designed to confuse the conscious mind, so that it simply becomes easier to just relax the mind and make it ‘let go’ into hypnosis. d. Mental misdirection method: This employs active use of the imagination, coupled with response, to hypnotize through responding to suggestions. e. Loss of equilibrium method: This makes use of gentle rocking to get the subject into a trance. f. Shock to nervous system method: This employs a sudden emphatic command given in a surprising manner. The subject experiences a moment of passivity during which he’ll either resist the trance, or let go and drop quickly into hypnosis.
Hypnotherapists may combine two or more methods to achieve the desired results. The combinations of methods may be as limitless as the imagination of those employing them!
What to expect in hypnotherapy
To find out how it feels to be under the sway of a hypnotherapist, let’s see how a hypnotherapy session is conducted:
- -First, the hypnotherapist will discuss in detail the problems afflicting you to determine the nature of your problem. -Next, he will explain the process to ease your anxiety and prepare you for hypnosis. -This done, he will guide you through some exercises to determine the degree of physical and emotional suggestibility to gauge your threshold to suggestions. -After this, he will put you into a hypnotic state by using individualized methods and techniques. -As you begin to slip into the hypnotic trance, your body will relax and your mind will detach from everyday concerns and responsibilities. This’ll be accompanied by increased muscle relaxation, a feeling of well being, increased threshold to pain and diminished ability to vocalize. -Now, the hypnotherapist will apply his power of suggestion, telling you to focus on things you’d like to change. He’ll then proceed to show you the way to achieve those changes. You may have flashbacks of stressful memories and you may become almost childlike in accepting ideas or suggestions about yourself.
So, when’ll you start noticing the changes? It depends upon the intensity of your session or the number of times you’re made to listen to your audiotape, which can be for up to a month. You’ll begin noticing behavioral changes spontaneously popping into your conscious mind almost immediately. Your subconscious mind will help you out of your old patterns with these cues.
The risks of hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is not dangerous and, till date, no one has been seriously hurt (except some in the region of the pocket because of unscrupulous hypnotherapists!). Even the Council of Mental Health of the American Medical Association has approved hypnosis as a safe practice with no harmful side effects. The reason is the great resilience of our subconscious that always has our best interest as its main concern. The only danger is from ignorance and misconceptions about this procedure.
Coming to the most dreaded question, “Can I be made to do things against my will?” The answer is a resounding no! Most people develop these false beliefs by witnessing stage hypnosis performed by magicians, which is pure fun and entertainment. Under hypnosis, no one can make you do anything against your will or contrary to your value system. No one can make you unknowingly reveal your deepest secrets either. People are also known to tell lies under hypnosis, and that’s why, the court of law doesn’t admit testimony under hypnosis!
Some people fear that hypnosis may weaken their will and make them dependent on the hypnotherapist. Nothing can be further from the truth. Hypnosis is, in fact, a tool to gain more self-control, and can actually help improve one's focus in life!
What if you don’t wake up? There isn’t a single case where someone has refused to rise and shine after the session. Hypnosis, as explained earlier, is akin to falling asleep and you get up, as if you’ve awakened after a nice long nap.
So, for those in dire need of help and wanting to try out something different, hypnotherapy may come as a shot in the arm. It’s quick, it’s safe and it’s effective.

The Power of Persuasion Hypnosis
Whatever it is it’s important to notice when people are trying to hypnotize you and keep control. Even better you can learn persuasion hypnosis yourself and use the stunning techniques to make your life better and avoid being taken advantage of. Learn more in the article below…
---
When you think of hypnosis, you typically think of it as being extremely powerful and even a bit manipulative. Most people think of it as a way of controlling someone and getting them to do things they usually would not do. What you need to understand is that there are several different forms of hypnosis.
One of these forms is persuasion hypnosis, which really is nothing more than a subtle method of sub-communication. The whole premise behind using this type of hypnosis is to establish a rapport more effectively with other people.

Change Your Weight With Hypnosis
To find out how hypnosis works and helps people lose and gain weight, read on below…
---
Hypnotism therapy not only can help you lose or gain weight, it can help you to achieve many other benefits such as quitting smoking, develop good health habits, develop positive thinking, develop good money habits, eliminating bad habits and many other positive benefits.
Firstly, before you read on, let's clear up some myths and unfounded fears about subjecting oneself to hypnosis therapy.
Most people have irrational fears about being a subject of hypnotism. This is understandable because of the natural fear of the unknown and besides, these irrational fears are further reinforced into people's mind by Hollywood movies and TV cartoons showing evil hypnotists putting the heroes into a zombie like state and under the full control of the evil hypnotist. This is not only nonsensical, it is also impossible.
So how does hypnotism work? You see, in our consciousness, we act through our conscious and subconscious mind. Our conscious mind make decisions based on the knowledge and past experiences stored in the huge data base in the sub-conscious or the unconscious mind.
As an example, supposing when you were very young and impressionable, some adult whom you respected told you that rich people are jerks. This information will be stored in your sub-conscious mind and although you may not be aware of it, every time when you see some rich people, your internal self chatter will most likely say that they probably accumulated their wealth by cheating others or by things that jerks do.
Since you do not want to be a jerk, your conscious mind will not think of ways to be rich. It will only think of having just enough to get by and guess what, you will have enough to get by because you are doing things to achieve that, but you will never be rich because you are not doing anything to be rich. Make sense?
Past experiences stored in the sub-conscious mind may be correct information at that time because at that time, as in the case above, that adult may only be referring to a particular rich person who was a real jerk. However, events and situations may have changed to render that bit of information irrelevant or even limiting what you can do or achieve, like losing weight or gaining weight.
Let us look at another example. If your family members and you are overweight and since young, you have heard your parents grumbled on many occasions that no matter what they do, they just can't seem to lose that extra weight and that being fat must be a genetic condition.
These comments were then embedded into your unconscious mind and today, if someone were to ask you to lose weight, your unconcious will instinctively react by telling youself that losing weight is not possible because you are genetically programed to be obese and that no matter what you do, it will be difficult for you to lose weight effectively.
Of course you will not lose weight with that mind set because you will think that your weight loss effort will be a lost cause and therefore will not even lift a finger to lose weight or after a half hearted attempt, you give up. So, your limiting belief is sabotaging your weight loss effort.
This same analogy can also be applied to people who are skinny and who want to gain weight. There are many other situations that hypnosis can help because of limiting beliefs such as "I can never be rich because I do not have a college degree" or "It is hard for me to attract a lover because I am ugly".
Most of the time, people are not even aware that they are sabotaging themselves with their own limiting beliefs. This is where hypnotism comes in.
When you are in a hypnotic state, you are actually in a very relaxed frame of mind. Unlike popular beliefs, you are still conscious of what is going on, fully in control of your self and you can get up and walk away immediately if you choose to. You will never be in controlled by your hypnotist like those depicted in cartoons and comic books.
You are put into a very relaxed state, so that your conscious mind is not so active and your hypnotist can suggest new positive messages into your subconscious mind. That means that your therapist will help you to erase those negative limiting beliefs from your sub-conscious mind and suggest new positive beliefs into it like, it is possible for you to lose or gain weight and motivate you to do something about your weight or other problems such as quitting smoking.
Now that you are convinced that hypnosis is a valuable tool to improve and enhance your life, there is still a problem. It can get pretty expensive because one session with a hypnotist is usually not enough to erase the limiting beliefs which you have thought to be true for so many years.
Furthermore, there probably are more than one such beliefs and your therapist will have to find them, eradicate them and the replace them with new positive beliefs. Now hypnotists charge their fees by the hour and this can make a big dent on your budget.
The good news is that the overwhelming costs can be offset by performing self hypnosis. No, you need not be an expert to perform self hypnotism. All you have to do is to get your hands on some hypnotism CDs or MP3s programs made to remedy your specific problem. Then just go and lie down on your bed, turn on the CDs or MP3s, close your eyes and you will have a hypno-therapist right in your bedroom.
Having armed yourself with the new positive beliefs through self hypnotism, you will naturally start taking conscious and unconscious actions to achieve your dreams such as losing or gaining weight.
So, can you lose weight or gain weight through self hypnotism? Yes, you certainly can because if you say that you can't, then it is your limiting beliefs at work again right?
