Important Rules For Self Hypnosis Scripts

Self hypnosis is an effective way to re-program your mind by communicating directly with the emotion-based subconscious mind. You can change your behavior and alter your deep-set beliefs and habits by making direct suggestions to your subconscious mind while under a state of hypnosis.

However, to make self hypnosis (or hypnotizing others) work, you must communicate using the language of the emotion-based subconscious mind.

The 7 critical rules for writing self hypnosis scripts that really work are presented below:

1. Always word your self hypnosis scripts for positive change. Saying you will stop, lose, or not do something is negative; your mind first has to visualize doing something, and then take the negative to comprehend these kind of commands. This means the mind first reinforces doing the undesired activity before it can interpret not doing it. Instead of saying you will lose weight, eat less, or stop eating sweets, say you will become lean, eat healthy, or increase your metabolism.

2. Repeat suggestions frequently to maximize effect, but avoid clichés. Find multiple ways to reiterate the same concept several times throughout your self hypnosis scripts.

3. Personalize suggestions to deal specifically with current goals. In your recorded self hypnosis scripts, do not say "you are"; instead say "I am". To increase effectiveness, direct the subconscious mind to repeat your suggestions quietly to itself in first person.

4. Use a detailed, progressive approach that flows along a logical growth path when creating your self hypnosis scripts. For example, - I am steadily losing weight every day to reach my ideal weight of 115 pounds - is better than saying - I will lose weight. The first case presents a progressive suggestion with a time factor and an end goal as a target. The second case is negative and has no definitive goal. This is one of the most important rules for self hypnosis scripts that really work.

5. Ensure all suggestions are simple, clear, & in the present or progressive tense. Never refer to past conditions, and use progressive case (i.e., using action verbs ending in -ing-; becoming, growing, & getting are a few goods examples) to bypass the critical conscious mind.

6. Use visualizations; make the subject see himself or herself after the change has occurred (or as the change is occurring). Also use words that engage emotions such as vibrant, sparkling, thrilling, wonderful, powerful, radiant, loving, generous, exciting, delightful, and beautiful. The more vivid and dramatic the image, the more effective it will be since visualizations are suggestions.

7. Direct the subject to reflect on the results of the change after your self hypnosis scripts have finished making all the suggestions. You can direct the subject to reflect while still in a hypnotic trance or immediately after waking up. Either way, the subject should sit quietly and envision himself or herself after the change while the hypnotist says nothing.

All 7 of these rules are not required to succeed with hypnosis, and you may find most self hypnosis scripts commercially available do not contain all these elements. However, if you follow all 7 rules in the scripts you write for yourself, you will see dramatically improved results from your self hypnosis scripts.

Now, you know how to write your own self hypnosis scripts, but you still do not know if self hypnosis will even work for you. How Does Hypnosis Work?

Do you wonder if hypnosis works? The short answer is yes, but let's explore the definition of hypnosis. I want to share the meaning behind hypnosis terms, such as the unconscious mind, a state of trance, and hypnotic suggestions.

Hypnosis is a natural state of consciousness, which everyone experiences throughout a typical day. Think of activities you're so absorbed in that block other stimulus, noise, or interruptions. One example is when you're completely absorbed in your favorite TV show: your attention is solely on the program, and you may not hear someone talking to you or hear the telephone ringing. You also experience a type of hypnosis when driving to a destination without remembering every turn or traffic light; you arrive and think, "The car knew where I was going". Actually, in both these examples, you are hyper focused and in a type of hypnosis or trance. Hypnosis works because it's a naturally occurring state of being.

The definition of hypnotherapy (or hypnotism) is "the use of trance and suggestion to improve general self-control and maintain a positive mental attitude," according to The National Guild of Hypnotists. Understanding that a "trance" is that hyper focused state we just discussed, let's talk about your unconscious mind and the use of suggestion.

To make permanent, positive changes in your life, it's important to address those changes on the unconscious level. Your hypnotist or hypnotherapist uses techniques that will guide you into a completely relaxed state, or trance. In hypnosis, your unconscious mind is focused on the hypnotist's words and suggestions. Your unconscious mind is the part of your mind that makes important decisions about your physical functioning, like

  • Management and awareness of physical sensations including pain.
  • Awareness of body position.
  • Regulating the functions of autonomic nervous system including blood pressure, heart rate, hormone secretion, body temperature, respiration etc.

Your unconscious mind also maintains:

  • Emotional expression
  • Memories and recall
  • Fantasies, dreams and daydreams
  • Intuition and inspiration

You will work with your hypnotist or hypnotherapist in explaining problems or issues. Together, you will decide on a goal for your hypnosis session. Using various techniques, your hypnotist will make "suggestions" to your unconscious mind. The suggestions are positive statements to help you reach your goal.

Hypnosis works because it's a natural state that all humans experience. Hypnosis allows you to reach the unconscious mind, where positive and permanent change happens. Hypnosis is an effective tool for dealing with many issues, like pain management, weight loss, smoking cessation, reducing anxiety and stress, personal and professional success, and many positive life changes.

Scientific studies show hypnosis works for:

  1. Smoking (Texas A&M and others)
  2. Weight Loss (Oxford University and others)
  3. Pain Management (Stanford University and others)
  4. Drug & Alcohol Addiction (Ohio State University and others)
  5. Healing Faster (Harvard University)

Multiple Sclerosis and Hypnotherapy

Multiple Sclerosis (abbreviated to MS) is a disease for which a cure is not known and whose cause is still a mystery. MS, also called "encephalomyelitis disseminata" or "disseminated sclerosis" is an affliction that involves damage to what is called "white matter". White matter in the body are myelin sheaths in brain and spinal cord. MS is also included under the list of auto-immune disorders.

Which People Contract Multiple Sclerosis?
Research has shown that women are more likely to get Multiple Sclerosis and it seems to begin when the person is still considered to be a young adult. The first indicators are a sense of fatigue and lack of energy whose and this tiredness doesn't improve much even with rest. MS was first acknowledged as far back as 1868.

Typical Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis
Damage (scaring) is caused to the myelin sheaths and affects the associated nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain. This results in a loss of ability those nerves to communicate and a number of symptoms can be noticed because of this. These symptoms typically can be within a number of body and mind functions such as: visual (eye pain, blurred vision), motor (muscle control, paralysis), cognitive (forgetfulness, speech problems) coordination (over or under movements of limbs) and sensory (tingling, numbness). Other noticeable symptoms can affect sexual performance and the bowel and bladder functioning may alter to a bringing a feeling of urgency and increased frequency.

Help for Multiple Sclerosis
For the moment accepting that there is no cure for MS, treatments are aimed at containing and managing the symptoms. People with MS may have months when symptoms reduce considerably but then they suddenly increase again. An MS suffer may realise and then use what they perceive as their MS triggers and employ strategies to control their MS.

Pharmaceutical drugs are often administered for pain and other symptoms. Corticosteroids are used during bad bouts of MS however this doesn't appear to provide long-term positive effects. Some drugs appear to lessen the severity of MS attacks and can reduce the rate of the loss of ability.

Complementary and alternative treatments are sought out as a way of enhancing any drug regime and for the MS patient their use can increase a sense of life control.

Multiple Sclerosis and Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis as used in a hypnotherapy session can help induce a deep level of physical, mental and emotional relaxation. An MS patient, because of their illness, can have higher levels of worry, stress, anxiety and fear. Excess and prolonged stress may increase the severity of MS symptoms. Some MS sufferers believe that regular use a relaxation process such as self hypnosis affects Multiple Sclerosis symptoms positively and provides a time for the body to rest.

Self Hypnosis Helps MS
A professional hypnotherapist will often train a person on how to utilise hypnosis. The idea if this is to aid the person's ability to manage their stress levels and have the means to bring a sense of peace, tranquility and a better coping ability. Through feeling more relaxed and at ease, a person with MS will release their excess stress and feel better able to manage with life.

Fortunately, self hypnosis is easy to understand, learn and the relaxing effects can be noticed felt and enjoyed from the very first occasion it is used. Self hypnosis can be used in 5 minute bursts or the duration can be 20 minutes or longer according to choice. This good news about this is that self hypnosis can be included into virtually anybody's life style.

Using Hypnosis For Self Help

Many years ago I was introduced to hypnosis and hypnotherapy through a college classmate that was a professional hypnotherapist. Over the years I've used hypnosis and hypnotherapy to help myself and thousands of other people make significant positive changes in our lives.

Hypnosis isn't magic. In fact there's really nothing too mysterious about it at all. Hypnosis is a method of self help that has been used for thousands of years and by millions of people. Simply put, hypnosis is a method you can use to alter your thoughts and, as a result, your behaviors.

Hypnosis doesn't discriminate, meaning anyone can use it. Its benefits are available to anyone of any ethnic or religious background. It can be used by people of all ages and by both sexes. From stress relief to weight loss, there are self improvement hypnosis programs for you.

The great thing about using hypnosis as a self help program is that it's a do it to your self project. For many things you don't need a trained professional, but you use the same techniques that a hypnotherapist would.

Using hypnosis as a self help method can be contrary to much of our modern philosophy. Today it seems that many people want the "quick fix", so they take the latest pharmaceuticals for whatever ails them. While popping pills can be an effective short term solution, unless you have an infection, they do nothing for most of the underlying causes of stress or fitness or whatever you are trying to change. In fact, most pharmaceuticals, if taken for long periods of time, have been proven to be extremely harmful. So, unless you have a specific medical condition that necessitates you using drugs, its recommend you stay away from them.

When it comes to self improvement there are a couple of prerequisites for hypnosis or hypnotherapy to be effective. The first is you have to be open-minded that hypnosis is a useful self help treatment. Of course if you're not open minded you probably won't even try hypnosis to begin with.

The second is that you have to believe that it will work or at least suspend your disbelief that it won't work. Studies have actually found that any treatment for self improvement, hypnosis, drugs or whatever work best if you believe in them. The more you believe in the ability of hypnotherapy to help you, the higher your chances of success. If you think its all fluff then it is, and you're just wasting your time. That's because you're programming your mind for failure in advance. If there is any secret to making hypnosis work it's this - you'll get as much out of it as you believe you will.

When using hypnosis for self help, in the beginning it may help for you to have some guidance through the process. One method is using self improvement hypnosis recordings.

If you are using self improvement hypnosis recordings for stress reduction a good strategy is to try to get away from the hustle and bustle of the day so that you can get into a more relaxed state. Many people actually carry their self improvement hypnosis recordings with them as they go about their day. This way when the day does turn chaotic, they can quickly return to a calming state without anyone ever knowing they were treating themselves for stress reduction! Even a short ten or fifteen minute recording can help.

As mentioned before, you want to get rid of your distractions before listening to your self improvement hypnosis recordings because they'll just add to your stress. Finding a quiet place will allow you to focus on the techniques in the recording. Turn off your radio, your television, and especially your cell phone while you're conducting your self improvement hypnosis. Dedicate this time entirely to your well-being.

Another thing many people use self improvement hypnosis for is weight control. If you're using self improvement hypnosis recordings as part of your weight loss program a good time to use them is when you feel weakness in your resolve to exercise or eat more healthily. They are an excellent method of adding to your resolve of staying on your healthier eating and exercise schedule.

In order for your self improvement hypnosis to work, allow yourself to focus for a minimum of 15 minutes. Although many people find it hard to devote a single second to their own needs, if you want to change your thoughts, you have to work on it just as you would any other learning experience. So commit to dedicating this time to learning how to best use your self improvement hypnosis.

If you're not using a recording while you're in this relaxed state, you can give yourself suggestions about how you want to behave and then use positive visualization to "see" your life as you want it to be. For example, visualize yourself in a place so relaxing that there is no stress or if you're trying to become more fit use positive visualization to "see" yourself at the weight and in the shape you want to be.

As you start using hypnosis as a method for self help you'll find that, with practice, your subconscious mind will begin adopting those suggestions. Then, each day, as you use your self improvement hypnosis, they'll be nurtured until they grow large enough to become what's normal for you. Soon, your new behaviors will have become habits and you'll only need to call upon self improvement hypnosis for a refresher every now and then.

If you want to use start using self improvement hypnosis a good place to start is with a qualified hypnotherapist. If you are looking for one in your area shoot me an e-mail, I know some excellent practicing hypnotists around the world. It doesn't matter if you want a weight loss hypnosis program, stress reduction or a time proven method to quit smoking, a self improvement hypnosis program can quickly help you make life altering changes in your life.

Grow Taller With Hypnosis - Is it Possible?

Many of you who are reading this article right now, who are gazing at the words as they pass by your awareness, are looking for tips to grow taller, and you just might have come to the right place. Somewhere you have heard that the mind is a powerful organ, and that it is capable of doing so many things for our bodies. If you area regular reader of the mind and epigenetics, then you are already aware at how the mind can influence the body-blood flow, cell growth, brand new cells, etc. Is there a grow taller secret? Perhaps hypnosis can provide the answer.

Thanks to many in the field of neuroscience and epigenetics, we have found that the body and the mind are indeed linked. In fact, the mind has been shown to affect every cell in our body. When we think a negative thought, negative emotions fill our body and the function of our immune system decreases. When we think a positive thought, love and light fill our emotional selves, and our immune system increases. In meditation and hypnosis, we found that those who regulalry meditate or perform self hypnosis have a stronger interior cortex within the brain, showing better memory, cognition and attention. This shows that with pure thought cells can change.

One study showed that those who imagined exercising a part of their body grew muscle in that part of their body without even performing any physical exercise. How is this possible, and why do they not teach this in schools? These studies show that there is a direct link between the mind and the body, and shows promise for hypnosis exercises to grow taller. What can you do, at this exact moment in front of your computer screen, to make yourself taller? A simple tip and exercise to grow taller is outlined below.

First, make sure you are in an area where you will not be disturbed. This will ensure adequate relaxation needed to access the inner mind to create growth within the body. Then, close your eyes. Closing your eyes separates you from the outside world and provides you a window into your inside world. Start focusing on your breathing. Let it come in slowly and deeply, and let it out in the same way. Let your breathing become rhythmic and slow, as this will relax you deeply. Relaxing your body in turn relaxes your mind, making it much easier to go into your mind to create cellular change.

Start to relax every muscle in your body, now, and let this relaxation phase go on for about five minutes. You can even be doing this in front of the computer, right now, or wait to find a more comfortable place. Just make sure you can fully relaxed. Once you reach a state of relaxation, imagine or visualize every cell in your body. Tell these cells to grow your body, to make it longer and taller. Provide the cells with the information it needs to grow your body, and see the cells performing their work. Creating new, healthy cells, growing and multiplying, making a healthy, taller body.

Self hypnosis can be more powerful when you actually have a therapist with you, in person or on CD, so that an exterior voice can guide your through the session. However, some people enjoy doing it alone. You can use this visualization any time you like, and be sure to visualize or imagine this same exercise to grow taller naturally for about 5 to 10 minutes. You might even be able to perform this hypnosis session for height increase even longer than this. In this case, the longer the better. Have fun with this, as it might lead to a different and healthier way of seeing your body.

Susceptibility To Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a fascination field of study - it's a way of exploring the uncharted territories of our minds.

Hypnosis has been successfully used for medical, therapeutic, business and personal matters.

Just a couple of months ago, the Queen Fabiola of Belgium at the age of 80 years used hypnosis instead of drugs to undergo surgery without the use of anesthetic drugs. Medical doctors performed open heart surgery with patients successfully only by sedating them with hypnosis.

But different people have different kinds of hypnotic susceptibility. Some people can experience deep hypnotic trances very easily. Others seem almost "unhypnotizable".

Research has shown that about 10% of the population is extremely hypnotizable. Then there is about 70-80% of the population who have medium hypnotizability. And then there are 10-20% of the population who have a very hard time to experience hypnotic states.

What is the reason for that? Well, just as each one of us has his or her own personality traits, his or her own fingerprint, each and every one of us also has his or her own way of going into trance.

This is specially true for those 10-20% who are seemingly "unhypnotizable". These people go into hypnotic states in very different ways from the majority of the population. Trying to hypnotize them with the methods that work for the majority of the population is just not gonna do it. It's like trying to open a lock with the wrong key. It won't work. But that doesn't mean that something is wrong with the lock - it's just the key. If you have the right key, the lock will open.

Unfortunately, most hypnotists don't have those "keys". They learned the standard procedures with slight variations, and they are satisfied with that. They call those "unhypnotizable" clients resistant, and tell them: if you don't really want to be hypnotized, then I can't hypnotize you.

The sad part is that many of these people paid a lot of money because they wanted to be hypnotized. But they just can't if the hypnotist doesn't come up with a hypnotic induction that suits their mental blueprint.

Everybody is hypnotizable. It doesn't matter if you're left-brain or right-brain dominant. It doesn't matter if you're young or old. It doesn't matter if you're smart or dumb. It doesn't matter if you're this or that.

What matters is that you get the kind of hypnotic induction that suits you. That's the problem with all those "hypnosis CDs". They are done to suit "the majority", but people with a different kind of hypnotic susceptibility won't respond to that.

In fact, hypnotic susceptibility can change over time for each one of us. Research indicates that prolonged isolation and sensory deprivation lead to enhanced susceptibility.

It can also be "trained", by exercising the mind in specific manners. If one extremely absorbs himself in imaginative activity, this has shown to enhance hypnotic susceptibility.

Michael Diamond reported about studies that tried to alter susceptibility by experimenting with music, psychedelic drugs, operant conditioning, relaxation training, biofeedback and other methods. These studies haven't been scaled up to be confirmed, but on a small scale it worked.

If you want to experience hypnotic states of consciousness but are having trouble to let go of conscious control, the first thing you should do is relax. There is nothing wrong with your way of doing things. Finding a skilled hypnotist, learning more about the hypnotic process and exercising your mind are all things that you can do to enhance your hypnotic susceptibility.

As you do it regularly, within no time you will find out that gone through that exam or target as you have visualized.

The hypnotic session has six stages. They are

1. Going into trance: This is the foremost stage of hypnosis. In this stage, a person goes into the state of trance.

2. Deepening trance: In this stage the state of deepened and the person goes into deep relaxed state.

3. Stage of Suggestions: This is the third stage of hypnotic session. In this hypnotic state, your subconscious mind is highly receptive to positive suggestions.

4. Visualization: This is the most important stage of hypnotic session. In this stage your mind visualizes the benefits that you will get after doing a particular task. In this hypnotic visualization stage, you visualize the thing, which has not yet happened. In other words you visualize your future, which in turn gives you the strength to achieve that future.

5. Triggers: This stage of hypnotic session is as important as the stage of visualization. In this stage, you will give a trigger action to all that have visualized. So that whenever you need that strength and power of your visualization, you get that at just a trigger of your fingers.

6. Coming out of hypnotic trance: This is the last stage of hypnotic session. In this session, you come out of the hypnotic state at a certain count. As soon as you come out of the hypnotic session, you will feel light, refreshed and relaxed.

Hypnotic visualization Exercise: This exercise, which I’m going to tell you, now, is one of the powerful hypnotic visualization exercises of its kind. Work out on this exercise to get the best outcome.

Practice Session: Practice this hypnotic visualization exercise at least twice or thrice a week. Make it a part of your daily routine and how it helps you to achieve your visualized goals.

Picture yourself in your selected study spot – feel the atmosphere around you – feel total calm and comfort around you – now visualize yourself lost in your studies with full concentration – no though disturbs you in this state – visualize yourself as actually enjoying studying – picture yourself as literally absorbing the knowledge.

Now visualize yourself getting great grades in your exams – imagine the benefit that you get after the little hard-work – visualize how proud your parents would feel of you – visualize how your life would you – feel the enthusiasm of being on top of the world – imagine how happy your friends would be – imagine how would you feel – simply visualize and let the thoughts flow….

Practice this hypnotic visualization exercise 2 to 3 times a week and see the difference (assured).

Make your life worthy for your loved ones (with hypnotic visualization) because they too have a share in your life…

Losing Weight With Hypnosis

What if I were to tell you that there's an affordable, easy way to lose weight that will actually make you desire healthy foods and exercise? You'd demand to know what this "weight loss secret" was, wouldn't you? Well the secret it hypnosis and let me tell you how it works and who has been using it with great success.

Hypnosis may be one of the most misunderstood and underutilized tools of self improvement out there. But when it comes to weight loss there really is nothing quite like it. Even celebrities like Lily Allen and Courtney Love have admitted to using hypnosis to lose weight and they have both gushed about how helpful it has been.

How Does Weight Loss Hypnosis Work?

You may think that hypnosis is a very complex process but in reality it can be described very easily. A hypnotherapist will first begin with some friendly banter to relax their client before they begin the session. Then they will guide them into a state very similar to a deep relaxation. At no point are they unconscious or asleep, in fact most people usually remember everything said to them even when they're in a deep hypnotic trance. At this point the mind is very open and receptive of beneficial suggestions, this is when the hypnotherapist will help the client to realise why and how they must lose weight. Once this has been completed the hypnotherapists will usually countdown from ten to one where the client will open their eyes and return to their natural state. Personal weight loss hypnosis programs like this typically take between three and five visits.

How Much Weight Can I Lose Using Hypnosis?

The answer to this question depends on how much you weigh. People who are a hundred pounds and really want to lose all that weight can do just that with the proper hypnotic suggestions. Similarly people who are just looking to slim down for the summer season can successfully achieve a smaller amount of weight loss, say six pounds.

It is important to note that hypnosis isn't some sort of "magic wand" for weight loss. The weight loss you will achieve with hypnosis will be slow and steady. This is the healthiest way to lose weight as it won't shock your system like many fad diets do which then leads to putting the weight straight back on.

What Is This Gastric Band Hypnosis I've Heard About?

Gastric Band Hypnosis is a relatively new technique in the field. Basically the hypnotherapists convinces the subconscious mind (this is the part of the mind which houses eating habits) that the client actually has a real gastric band fit inside of them. This results in a big reduction in appetite. There are pros and cons to this. While this can result in very fast weight loss, this is not the healthiest way to go about losing weight, however, if a person is severely overweight this could be a viable alternative to getting a dangerous surgery. In general though it is much better to stick to the more tradition form of hypnosis.

How Much Does Weight Loss Hypnosis Cost?

Weight loss hypnosis is actually very affordable now thanks to the advent of the internet. In fact it is much less expensive than less effective alternatives such as diet clubs, pills, formulas and so on. Now you can find great weight loss hypnosis sessions recorded by experienced hypnotherapists for less than $20 on CD or MP3. They are very easy to use, most require you to listen to them once a day for a few weeks and then once a month thereafter. This will change your eating habits and give you all the motivation you need to start losing weight.

How To Use Hypnotic Conversation

Imagine you were able to get what you wanted by properly conveying your desires to others simply by speaking to them. Can you imagine if you had the Rasputin touch? Do you think that being able to impact your listeners to see things as you do through only your words would be a valuable asset to have in your personal arsenal? Do you think it would be beneficial to you to be able to use language in a way that really drives home your idea or the meaning that you are wishing to share with someone else?

Would you like to gain a greater influence over situations in your life that require some form of negotiation? Perhaps you would like to be more in control in your business relationships, social interactions or perhaps your love relationship could benefit from your ability to clearly and powerfully express your point in a way that is totally understood by the other party involved.

This article is going to introduce you to Hypnotic Language and how you can use it very effectively to tip the balance well in your favour in situations were any type of negotiation is needed. I am now going to teach you how to use a special language that speaks directly to the subconscious mind of your listener without them ever being aware of what you are doing.

Very clever hypnotists and NLP practitioners developed a way of manipulating common language words in order to fully relax their hypnotic subjects during hypnosis sessions. Through using hypnotic language in trance sequences and seeing how effective it was at influencing the listener NLP practioners and hypnotists took it a step further and developed hypnotic conversation that could be used in everyday situations. Hypnotic conversation is an extremely simple yet highly effective technique used to influence the listener subliminally to obey certain commands you give them. Hypnotists use this all the time however, it is begining to be used in the business world as more and more people want to gain that extra edge. This hypnotic language is extremely subtle and goes completely unnoticed by 99% of the population.

The technique itself is simple to perform but hard to explain. It starts with your tone of voice and it is your intonement of certain words that holds the power to influence. Firstly, you must place only the slightest amount of emphasis on the words in a sentence in order to change its meaning. For example you can change a spoken sentence that appears to be a question or proposal into a powerful command!

Let's take a simple example with the following sentence that a hypnotist would use during a trance sequence, "maybe you want to relax completely or maybe you just want to chill out" - seems straight forward enough. Here the hypnotist seems to be offering his subject a choice - the suject can relax only if he/she wants to. However, in this example he has only given the subject two choices - he can either relax or "chill out". This is powerful in itself but the power of this sentence is greatly amplified when hypnotic language is also incorporated.

So to manipulate the sentence, and the subject, even further with the use of hypnotic language we need to change the sentence from the proposals "maybe you want to relax completely" and "maybe you just want to chill out" to the commands "you want to relax completely" and "you just want to chill out".

Doing this is quiet simple. However, before you can fully utilise this powerful technique it is wise to understand the reason why it is so effective.

The actual words you use are not as important as the way you convey them. Only 20 percent of the communication in any sentence you speak comes from what you are actually saying. Non-verbal communications, such as body language, tone of voice and gestures make up 80% of the meaning behind any message that you are trying to convey to people. This means regardless of the words you are using and what it is that you are actually saying, your body language, posture, eye movement, blood flow to the face and a myriad of other signals tells a person exactly what you are trying to communicate. Many time it is the unconscious cues that are the reason behind that sense you get that someone is lying to you even when what they are saying sounds reasonable and you have no reason to doubt them. Subconsciously we pick up on these non-verbal clues and "read" the situation as being different from how the person speaking is trying to convey it. Those people who can beat lie-detector machines can, either consciously or unconsciously, regulate these non-verbal communications to reflect the lies that they are telling - however, thankfully, they are very few in number.

In your communications the intonement you use in your everyday lanugage is a very important factor in all speech. Your tone of voice can convey messages to your subconscious mind that go unnoticed by your conscious, rational mind. It is through the use of your tone and the spacing of your words that you can literally hypnotize the person you are speaking to. By using hypnotic language techniques you can literally change any words within a sentence into powerful subliminal commands.

For instance in the above mentioned example the hypnotist would say the sentence in the following way, [slow and melodic] "maybe" [in a harder authoritative tone and with more emphasis "YOU WANT TO RELAX COMPLETELY", [slow and melodic] "or maybe" [again in a harder authoritative tone and with more emphasis] "YOU JUST WANT TO CHILL OUT".

Ensure you fully understand that this effect is very subtle. Until your attention is brought to the technique you will be totally unaware that it is being used - it only becomes noticeable when it is pointed out to you. Sometimes, however, during a hypnosis session you can be consciously aware that the hypnotist is speaking in a strange manner but you have no clue as to what exactly is going on. While listening you tend to believe this is only some part of the trance induction and a part of hypnosis. In your everyday life, however, it is important to ensure your hypnotic language is even more subtle for, what should be, apparent reasons.

Let's look at an example; you have developed a detailed proposal that you wish to present to some of your business associates and have scheduled a very important meeting to do this. It is important that you get your proposal accepted quickly and you therefore need to use anything that will tilt the balance of the decision in your favour. At this point you may decide to use hypnotic conversation to give you that added advantage. You may say something like the following, "perhaps if you give this some thought you may find that this is a good idea and one worth pursing now or maybe even in the future". This is simple enough suggestion that on its own has little power. Now we are going to manipulate this very same statement by changing it into powerful subliminal commands.

Try saying this: "Perhaps if you give this some thought you may find that -"

[Pause for a millisecond longer than normal and change your tone only slightly]

"This is a good idea and one worth pursing now"

[Shorten the normal pause between the last word and the next]

"Or, maybe even in the future".

This simple spoken statement has now become a very powerful subliminal command simply by using pacing and tone variations. While the listener is consciously unaware that anything is happening his/her subconscious mind picks-up the difference in pacing and tone and identifies the command within the sentence as follows - "perhaps if you give this some thought you may find that.... This Is A Good Idea And One Worth Pursuing Now..... or maybe even in the future".

You should play with this use of hypnotic language and hypnotic conversation until you can use it with ease. Be warned though, if you perform it in a hasty or unrehearsed manner it can be blatantly apparent to everyone what you are doing! The experts at hypnotic language speak in such a way that their intentions go totally unnoticed by the conscious mind and people just find them to be very persuasive.

Listen to some of your hypnosis tapes or hypnotists while they are speaking and see if you can identify the subliminal commands they are using during the trance sequences. This will ensure you start to develop and refine these new skills and make you a master at using them in no time. However, do listen to a few because some hypnotists are better than others at this technique.

Before you try to use this skill in a real situation please practise it on someone you know well who will give you honest feedback. Speak a hypnotic command to them in several different ways and watch to see how their behaviour mimics your command than ask the person were they aware of anything different about your language. Ask the person if they could tell that your words were spoken differently than normal. If they identified any changes in your tone and pacing ask them did they realise exactly what you were doing. After some practise and some surprising outcomes you will soon be using hypnotic conversation daily!

Does Hypnotherapy Work For IBS?

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a disorder of the digestive system whose symptoms include bloating, discomfort, abdominal pain and irregular bowel habits. In turn these symptoms can lead to depression. There is no known cure for IBS however one treatment that appears to be coming to the forefront is hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy is a treatment that many people have heard of, but they’re not entirely sure what it is or how it works. Typically a session of hypnotherapy involves a client/patient and a hypnotherapist (or in this modern age a CD or MP3). The session will first begin with some “pre-talk” where the hypnotherapist will explain what to expect from the hypnotherapy IBS treatment. Once this has been discussed the treatment itself will begin.

The hypnotherapy will begin with a hypnotic induction and then a deepener. This ensures that the client is in a trance state. It is difficult to explain a hypnotic trance because it can vary from person to person. Some people get a tingling sensation and feel very light while others feel very still and heavy as if they are sunk into their chair. During hypnotic trance a person is still aware of what is being said to them and they are not asleep or unconscious in anyway. Hypnotic trance is often described as an altered or heightened sense of focus, much like “being in the zone” while playing a sport.

Once trance has been established the hypnotherapist will embed certain suggestions into the mind of their client. In the case of IBS treatment the suggestions may revolve around helping the client to feel less stressed (as stress often makes IBS symptoms worse), more optimistic about the situation, relieve pain and discomfort, and regulate sleep patterns depending on the situation.

It may seem amazing to think hypnotherapy can help treat all these symptoms of IBS but scientific studies suggest that hypnotherapy is the real deal, not just for IBS but for many other issues too.

Back in 1989 scientists at the Frenchay Hospital in Bristol ran a study on the effects of hypnotherapy on IBS patients. 33 patients with IBS were treated with hypnotherapy over the course of 7 weeks. Of these 33 patients only 2 patients showed no positive effects. The condition of 20 of the patients improved and 11 were completely free of all their former symptoms. With those kind of results, if hypnotherapy was a drug, then doctors wouldn’t hesitate to prescribe it! Unfortunately few doctors are well versed in complementary treatment.

It’s also interesting to note that the hypnotherapy given to the patients in the study was a group form of hypnotherapy, meaning that the sessions were not catered to individual needs. This suggests that CDs or MP3s recorded by qualified hypnotherapists are highly effective, and they are much more affordable than hiring a hypnotherapist.

To answer the question, “does hypnotherapy work as an IBS treatment?” the answer is a resounding yes! If you are a sufferer of IBS and are looking for relief from your dire symptoms then give hypnotherapy a try today.

You will be truly astonished!

The Secret of Hypnosis MP3s

You want to change a habit or just feel relaxed? Hypnosis can assist you in achieving your goal. According to numerous studies, it can help you open your subconscious mind. Your mind has its divisions, the conscious and the subconscious. The process of editing your thoughts as well as your judgment is residing in your conscious mind and soon it will be absorbed in your subconscious mind. However, the latter part of your mind can not differentiate if an idea is part of the reality or just mere imagination. It is also responsible for your habits.

Hypnosis is becoming a popular method utilized by people in order to attain their goals such as weight loss and to experience relaxation. It may be achieved through self-hypnosis or with the assistance of a certified hypnotherapist.

If you are wondering which could be really helpful, it would depend on your personality and needs. If you want to confide yourself in the comforts of your home while engaging yourself into hypnotism, compact disks and mp3s are now widely available which is considered as a tool for self-hypnosis. These are made by professional hypnotherapists who want to reach out to people who mostly can not afford the costly fees of one on one session with them.

Recorded hypnosis programs through mp3s are useful especially if you are not comfortable in sharing a conversation with a certified hypnotherapist. The said tool can give you a guide in what you have to do in order to experience a state of calmness and even change your habits. On the other hand, you should bear in mind that these mp3s are not tailored to cater your personal needs. This means that if you have other issues that are not generally experienced by other people, it may not be addressed in the recorded program.

In your locality, do you know any hypnotherapist available? Some areas do not have hypnotherapists whom you can run to and guide you with your hypnosis needs. This makes the use of mp3s ideal since you can listen to them anywhere and anytime you feel like you want to feel relaxed or inspired to modify your lifestyle. These programs loaded in mp3s are comprehensive. They come also in separate packages. A weight loss hypnotism session is different with those that are for smoking cessation mp3s.

If you think that these recorded programs are not working for you, you can still contact a hypnotherapist which could better aid in achieving your goals. If you think that the mp3s did not answer or cater to some of your issues then it would be advisable to do a consultation as well. The process of hypnotism depends on your needs. You should be aware that the whole act is done by you alone. You can calm down yourself with mp3s or with the help of a hypnotherapist. You have to be willing to get in contact with your subconscious mind so that any of your efforts will become successful and effective.

Feel Peaceful With Relaxation Hypnosis

Do you want to feel calm or relaxed? Hypnosis could be the answer.

In our developed times today, you could feel stressed and exhausted almost everyday. You may resort to going to the spa or even do recreational activities. Some may choose to consume alcohol or drugs just to change their mood. These can relax you physically but not totally calm you down mentally.

There is what they call as time-related stress. It is the feeling that you are always catching-up with time. It has been said that every 90 minutes or more, your brain naturally switches its function from your left hemisphere to your right hemisphere. This is for the purpose of updating new ideas and information. This shifting is part of your ultradian rhythm. If this does not happen, your stress hormones will kick in. However, even though your brain can do this, there are times that it would need a reinforcement to relax.

Hypnosis is a high state of concentration. It can influence you to be in the right state of mind while you are engaged in a specific situation. It can also place you in a relaxed and calm state which could be an additional activity for you on a regular basis to soothe your mind.

Hypnosis acts on you subconscious mind which is the part of you that absorbs your ideas. However, it can not distinguish the difference of reality from imagination. Your conscious mind is the one responsible in making judgments and processing of your thoughts. Under the hypnotized state of mind, you will be able to set aside the stress and negative emotional reactions thus allowing mental relaxation.

You should take note that if you do not take a time off to relax even just for a couple of minutes, you would possibly increase the risk of having a stress-related physical illness. It can also make you too much emotional that could hinder your productivity. With the aid of hypnosis, you can experience deep relaxation that can help you gain your brain back. It means that your mind will be switched off for a while and then switched on again after it has been calmed down. You can achieve this once you allow your subconscious mind to absorb the idea of being relaxed.

With high state of concentration through hypnosis, it can slow down your heart rate thus reducing your blood pressure. It also slows down the rate of your breathing and reduces muscle tension. It also increases your blood flow to your skin. Once your body has achieved these changes, you will feel more energized. You can also develop better self-control especially with your emotions as well as improved problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Whenever you feel stressed and overwhelmed, you can count on the wondrous benefits of hypnosis to relax you exactly how you want.

Stop Smoking Now With Hypnosis

When you get to hear the word hypnosis, you would first think about a stage trick wherein a person is trying to get the consciousness of another person with the use of a swinging necklace pendant, perhaps a clock in front of his eyes. This is the wrong impression about hypnosis.

Hypnosis is a state of a relaxation. It is not just falling asleep or losing your consciousness and get to do something funny in front of an audience. It allows you to relax while you are focused on a particular problem, habit or goal. Clinically, it is considered as a form of therapy and called as hypnotherapy. Our mind has its areas such as your conscious and subconscious mind. Your conscious mind is responsible in editing and judging your thoughts. Your subconscious mind on the other hand, absorbs whatever idea you provide it. It does not have the ability to distinguish reality from imagination. Here is how hypnosis will be effective as a method of quitting smoking. If you thought yourself as a non-smoker then your subconscious mind will absorb that as a piece of the reality.

Many people today utilize different means of changing their habit of smoking such as nicotine patches and gums. Some are enticed to be under the act of hypnotism. You can do it by yourself in what they call as self-hypnosis. Cds and mp3s made by professional hypnotherapists are widely available that can be your tool in undergoing this process. This can be your choice if you want to stay in your house in practicing hypnosis. It can also be done whenever you want however it still depends on you if this would be effective. You should bear in mind that hypnosis mp3s are not tailored for a specific audience. You also have the option of hiring a certified hypnotherapist that would provide you with hypnotherapy on a one-session program or multiple sessions. Your therapy may be personalized or adjusted according to your needs by your therapist.

In order for hypnosis to become fully successful and effective in making you stop smoking, you initially have to be sure to yourself that you are willing to change your habits. Remember that habits reside in your subconscious mind. If you can not accept or even think about modifying your smoking habits, then your subconscious mind can not absorb that idea.

As a form of relaxing your mind and body, hypnosis can reinforce your drive to change a negative habit. It was also said that it can minimize or even remove your desire to smoke. It also aids you in removing withdrawal symptoms. Since you are relaxed with hypnosis, it can reduce your stress. It conditions your mind to calm down especially when it thinks of lighting up a cigarette to release its tensions.

Quitting smoking depends on your willingness to change. You may use nicotine patches and gums together with quit smoking hypnosis program to have a higher success rate. You should condition your mind in every step you take for yourself in order to fulfill your goal.

You can quit smoking with our powerful selection of hypnosis downloads. Try our Stop Smoking Hypnosis MP3 which comes with a 90 day money back guarantee.

Can Anyone Be Hypnotized?

Hypnosis has a lot of critics out there. Since its introduction to the world, hypnosis has met a lot of criticism. If you collate all the criticisms though, most of it will boil down to the question of whether or not anybody can be hypnotized. This is really no surprise. A lot of people misconstrue the functions of hypnosis and how it works. Popular media has made it seem like hypnosis is some sort of brainwashing technique. People think that hypnosis is way for people to control the thinking and actions of other people. This is not true. Most people don't how one can be hypnotized.

Hypnosis is really a state of mind rather than a triggered subconscious command. In order to be hypnotized, first of all, you have to be willing; meaning you can't be hypnotized against your will. You have to open your mind and concentrate on the suggestions being given to you. Your brain will register these both in your conscious and unconscious thinking. This simply means your mind will instruct your body to follow the registered suggestions whenever they are applicable.

So can anybody be hypnotized? Yes. Anyone who is willing to reprogram themselves can be hypnotized. But you have to know that hypnotism is not easy task. First, you have to be prepared. You have to really want it. Having a close mind will just decrease the success of the hypnosis. So before committing to any kind of hypnosis, make sure to want it 100%. After that, look for a good hypnotizer. After finding one, don't immediately ask for a hypnosis session. Get to know that person first and establish trust. Studies show that hypnosis is more effective when the operator and the subject have rapport.

After doing all of the necessary preparations, schedule a hypnosis session. While being hypnotized, make sure to focus. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis takes effect only when the mind is at full attention; not when it is half asleep and unconscious. This way, you can register the suggestions to both your subconscious and conscious mind. While being hypnotized, relax your body, but retain your concentration on the instructions. All focus should be put on internalizing the suggestions mentally. Keep the body loose. Studies show that this state of body and mind increases the success rate of hypnosis.

By employing all these tips, a person can be hypnotized successfully. If you follow and understand all these steps properly, hypnosis will be easy. Note that hypnosis can be done to the self as well. The self is actually the best operator for hypnosis. Self hypnosis is what's used in self help therapy. Subjects in self help therapy sessions hypnotize their selves to change certain aspects of their personalities. Hypnosis really works. Decades of research and experiments should be enough of a testament to that. Skepticism is the only thing that blocks hypnosis success. If you want to prove it yourself, make sure to have a lot of faith in it first.

Find out if you can be hypnotized with a hypnosis MP3 from HypnoBusters. Our Memory Hypnosis MP3 is particularly popular.

When Did Hypnosis Start?

When it comes to the human mind, many things are still shrouded in mystery. Experts have discovered a lot already, but these are still but an inch of the whole painting. Moreover, some discovered concepts on the human mind are still being debated as they still have a lot of grey areas. One of these concepts is hypnosis. Hypnosis really is an interesting topic. It has been studied for decades already, but still a lot of it is shrouded in mystery. There is still much to discover about it, but the knowledge on it so far is indeed very impressive. The history of hypnosis is indeed very deep. It involves many people, theories and application. Here is a brief history of hypnosis:

The word hypnosis was first coined by brain surgeon James Braid. Hypnosis, as defined by Dr. Braid, was a state of mind where the person is in a state of nervous sleep. Dr. Braid based his studies on the mesmerism or animal magnetism theory of physicist Franz Mesmer. Later, the concept developed in to a more developed theory. Dr. Braid established hypnotism as science rather than just a random practice.

The history of hypnosis progressed as more experts developed its theories. After Dr. Braid, neurologist Jean Martin Charcot used hypnotism as treatment for hysteria. This led to several European experimentations. The studies of Dr. Charcot were carried on by his pupil, Pierre Janet. Janet further developed the practice, establishing the prototype framework for integrating hypnosis into treatment of personality dissociation.

As the theories and practices involved in hypnosis were very controversial, it met a lot of challenges. One of the biggest critics of hypnosis was the Roman Catholic Church. St. Thomas Aquinas was one of the theologians who challenged hypnosis, saying that it can skew a person's reasoning. Hypnosis and its propagators were able to eclipse issues like these after more success came from experimentations.

Hypnosis also played a role in the American Civil War. Field doctors used hypnosis as a substitute for chemical anesthesia. This was actually the first time hypnosis was practically applied in medicine. Soon after, Ambroise Auguste Liebeault found that a strong rapport between subject and hypnotizer increases effectiveness of hypnosis.

A more modern history of hypnosis started with Emile Coue. Coue declared that hypnosis was a form of conscious autosuggestion and not subconscious instructing. Boris Sidis later formulated a law for suggestion. Psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud also contributed to the development of hypnosis. Freud was a student of Dr. Charcot and was also a fellow of Liebeault. He developed hypnosis using abreaction therapy.

Finally, after years of criticism, the Church finally accepted the theories of hypnosis as valid. The Pope approved the practice of hypnosis in 1956, a year after it was approved by the British Medical Association as an applicable practice in psychoneuroses and hypnoanesthesia for surgery and childbirth. Currently, hypnosis is used for many causes such as for addiction and depression. Without a doubt, hypnosis will develop further in the near future.

What Are Hypnosis Downloads?

Ever since it was first introduced to the world, hypnosis has caught the attention of a lot of people. It is not surprising, really. Who wouldn't want to program things into their consciousness? Though people generally have full control over their thoughts and actions, external factors could make doing the right thing harder. For example, you may want to quit smoking or drinking. But addictive components of cigarettes and alcoholic drinks make it hard for you to drop the vice. Although you have full control over you actions, your cravings might pull you the other way. Hypnotism can help you in this sense.

Of course, hypnosis requires a lot from you. You need to condition yourself and be ready for the hypnosis. This means you have to be 100% open to any instructions that will be given to you. You have to have 100% faith in the technique. After that, you have to look for an operator, or a hypnotist. Not all psychologist and therapists do this, unfortunately, so you have to do a little bit of research when it comes to this. Moreover, you are required to establish rapport with the operator in order to make the hypnosis successful. This means you have to spend time with your operator and build a quasi-relationship with them. Only after trust is built can you start hypnosis sessions. Not doing so would only be a waste of your money as effectiveness of the hypnosis is lessened by lack of rapport.

Obviously, not all people have time to find, see and bond with an operator. For busy people, there is actually another way. You can actually conduct hypnosis on yourself, even if you are on the go. You can do this by getting hypnosis downloads and plugging them into a portable music playing device. But what are hypnosis downloads? Hypnosis downloads are basically preset instructions you can listen to on a portable media device, such as an iPod or cellphone. These are usually in music formats, like MP3s. All you need to do is find and get hypnosis downloads from the Internet and upload them onto your media device. Then, whenever you can spare time, listen to the audio. You can do this while on the go or when idle.

So what is in these audio files? Basically, hypnosis downloads are worded suggestions. You listen to these files over and over again, letting the words penetrate your subconscious mind. After a while, you should develop an automatic reaction to any event that the suggestions are applicable to. This kind of hypnosis is good for people on the go. Although its effects are not as strong as regular hypnosis, it is a good alternative. With it, you can instruct yourself to avoid vices. You could even make yourself avoid certain things that you want to avoid. With the help of these audio instructions, you can quit vices like smoking, drinking and gambling. Hypnosis, in any form, is really very helpful. Try it yourself now.

How To Perform Self Hypnosis

Good hypnotherapists are quite difficult to find and are usually expensive to hire due to their many years of learning and experience. However there is a way round this. Not a lot of people know this, but a hypnotherapist merely guides a person into trance - they help them achieve a trance state. It is up to the subject to actually make this happen. This means that it is perfectly possible to hypnotize yourself.

A trance state is actually a very natural state of mind that most of us fall into several times a day. It is best described as a daydream like state - not some weird zombie like state that the media often portray it as. It is like when you are deeply engrossed in a book or TV. It also often happens when driving. You may realise that you drove several miles and can barely remember the journey. You drive safely, but cannot remember doing it as you tranced out. The reason you still drive safely was that your conscious mind was tuned down, and you were using your more intuitive subconscious mind to drive.

A hypnotic trance is a means to quieten your conscious mind, allowing you to better communicate with your subconscious mind, which is the part that drives us, holds our beliefs, habits and fears. You can talk to a smoker about how smoking is bad for them, and them usually whole heartedly agree. However they still continue to do it. This is because you have talked to them on a conscious level. Their conscious mind knows that it is a bad habit, but it is their subconscious mind which drives their urges. In a trance you can more easily talk to the subconscious part of the mind. This is why hypnosis is so effective in a therapeutic setting.

I will show you a very simple technique to get yourself into a trance.

Get yourself comfortable, either seated or led down, and make sure that you won't be disturbed for at least half an hour. Close your eyes and take 20 slow deep breaths, saying to yourself the words 'relax 1', 'relax 2', 'relax 3' and so on, on each out breath. You will notice how you feel deeper relaxed with each number you count. Do this until you reach 20.

Now imagine yourself sliding down a dark tunnel that has a white spot in the distance. Spend a minute or two sliding down this tunnel. This white spot gets bigger and bigger as you slide closer and closer, until eventually you emerge into a pleasant place. It could be anywhere you choose, such as a secluded beach or a garden. Enjoy this haven for a few minutes, and try to visualise it as vividly as you can, using as many of your senses as you can. Use touch, smell and sound as much as you can.

Congratulations, you have entered a hypnotic trance. If done regularly, this technique will really help you in life. Many problems in life are as a result of excessive stress and not enough relaxation. It can effect your energy levels, productivity, mood, motivation, happiness, and even your immune system. Almost every area of your life will improve if you spend just 10-15 minutes per day doing this. Try it every day for a week and see what a positive impact it can make to your life.

Can You Quit Smoking With Hypnosis?

Ever since the negative effect of cigarettes and smoking were brought to light, smokers have been looking for various methods and tools to assist them in quitting the bad habit. Of the many methods, hypnosis has become quite a popular option. But can hypnosis really help you stop smoking, and if so, how?

In order to understand the possibilities, we first need to take a step back and look at what self hypnosis actually is. How self hypnosis works is that you make use of a hypnosis audio program (usually MP3) which, when listened to, puts you into a state of heightened awareness and suggestiveness (the ability to accept suggestions made by another party). Applied to the topic of quitting smoking, it would work as follows:

The audio program would make use of sound waves to induce the state of heightened suggestiveness (a trance-like, meditative state).Once this state is induced, a voice recording would play which makes statements (suggestions) that are in alignment with your goal of quitting smoking.

Such suggestions could include:

- I am healthy and respect my body.

- I would never intentionally harm my body.

- I no longer suffer from addictions.

- I don't need cigarettes to make me happy.

- I am naturally calm, relaxed and peaceful.

These suggestions, over time, would then become deeply ingrained beliefs in your mind. Thanks to the law of attraction, which clearly state that our thoughts become our reality, this is a great way to quit smoking. Used on a regular basis, a hypnosis program can assist you in instilling incredibly powerful beliefs deep inside your unconscious mind.

Hypnosis is commonly misunderstood and surrounded by mystery and weariness, especially since it is sometimes associated with dark forces and so forth. This couldn't be further from the truth, as hypnosis is simply a heightened state of consciousness, very similar to that of meditation. It allows the mind to become more focused on a specific topic (which is suggested) and thus give more power to whatever you wish to achieve. Hypnosis can be understood as a tool which connects the two parts of your mind, conscious and unconscious.

As we can see, hypnosis (self hypnosis in particular) can be a very powerful tool in helping you quit smoking. The most attractive factor to using this method is that it is completely medicine-free. Everything is caused from the inside out.

How Does Hypnotherapy Work?

Hypnotherapy can be used to achieve many things, as well as to modify behavior, develop decisive and healthy behaviours, secure creative insight and new-found solutions to life problems, to visualize and accomplish topmost performance in your chosen sport or area, and to switch stress and anxiety with a feel of rest and renewed energy and persistence. Hypnotherapy is besides an outstanding way to get a deeper understanding and feel of balance involving the rational, emotional, and spiritual parts of yourself.

Some individuals desire that someone else might magically effect their life different right away. However, the genuine process of hypnotherapy is much more empowering than that. Once you tap into and harness your own inner wherewithal, you realize with the purpose of you are a powerful person who can add up to all kinds of things turn out for yourself - without having to rely on someone else to magically repair things for you. I am positive that you can learn to produce your own magic.

Hypnotherapy is a group of techniques used to help a client obtain access to the unconscious mind. Having increased access to normally unconscious wherewithal allows you to obtain new-found perspectives, allow a deeper understanding of your own behaviour and motivation, and profit increased mastery and control in your life.

The hypnotist guides you into a relaxed state by supporting you to focus and relax. It is, however, up to you to allow the hypnosis to occur. While your conscious mind becomes highly listening carefully and/or profoundly relaxed with hypnosis, its as if a entry to your unconscious mind opens, enabling you to receive suggestions in accordance with your goals. It is through this phase which affirmative statements, affirmations, and visualizations are specified by the hypnotherapist. Thereafter, your unconscious and conscious can perform concurrently to bring around desired modification.

During a session about 90% of clients are able to hear and consciously remember a large amount of the session. This is standard since hypnosis is not sleep and it is not being unconscious. When you are hypnotized, you are really more aware and not less aware. You are more aware of your body, more aware of your breathing, more aware of outside sounds and smells, and your recall is much sharper. That is why hypnosis works so well. Your wanting and your motivation to transform, however, are vital to the good results of your hypnotherapy.

Hypnosis is a complete state of material, mental and emotional rest. Hypnosis opens the entry to the sub-conscious mind. Hypnotherapy is the process of imprinting your unconscious mind with suggestions for better lifestyle changes. During hypnotherapy, your mind is more wide open to suggestions and learning, so you can vary behavior, attitudes or habits more briskly. Hypnotherapy is a safe, controlled methodology to self-enhancement and is often a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.

Hypnosis is a deep state of rest. If you've tried contemplation or yoga, you might have practiced something like it, as these can induce a mild hypnosis. Hypnotherapy is the process which takes you into this relaxed state and combines it with therapy to help you let go of downbeat feelings and feelings, and interchange them with encouraging ones. There are two types of hypnotherapy: interactive, where the client and therapist retain a continual dialogue; and direct suggestion, where the therapist operates from a script used for a particular objective such as weight loss or giving up smoking. Interactive hypnotherapy tends to exhibit quicker, more dramatic results.

The therapist uses a form of vocabulary which encourages the mind to relax, giving you access to your unconscious and allowing you to put forward things to it. But the vital feature is that it is you who allows your mind to enter into this state; a hypnotherapist can neither induce it nor keep you in a state of hypnosis contrary to your will. Going into hypnosis relies on your interest and compliance to be guided into this another state of consciousness.

Hypnotherapy is completely safe, non-invasive and a thoroughly natural state. Often It can effectively resolve many challenges, in a a small number of sessions.

When individuals think of hypnosis and hypnotherapy they by and large think of weight loss and stop smoking. Some other things which hypnosis is beneficial with are: sleeplessness, panic and anxiety, depression, fears and phobias, compulsions and obsessions, alcoholism and drug dependency, chronic pain, improving recall and study habits, increasing creativity, increasing sports achievement, building confidence, becoming a calm public spokesperson, improving sales performance, overcoming stage fright, pain of child birth, pain, anxiety and gagging brought on by dental procedures, visualization for wellbeing problems, learning self-hypnosis, fingernail biting, tinnitus, and attention deficit disorder (ADD).

The Benefits of Hypnosis Scripts

Just about anyone who has ever had an interest in hypnosis has run across hypnosis scripts. But what value does a script really yield? With thousands of different scripts on hundreds of potential subjects even the most cursory review gets overwhelming pretty quickly. But there are some specific situations where hypnosis scripts can be highly valuable.

For the professional hypnotherapist, scripts come in handy in one of two ways. First, if you prefer reading to memorization, you might just use scripts for as long as you practice hypnotherapy. Strong, confident readers might prefer a script. Second, when faced with a request from a client or patient for hypnosis covering a topic you are not familiar with, you could certainly review a script just to make sure you are doing your due diligence before just plowing in.

For everyone else, scripts provide a valuable look into how professional hypnotherapists structure sessions that include deep hypnotic trance. Understand, however, that not every script will cover the necessary induction and deepening required to be effective. For the most part, you will need a certain level of mastery of a number of basic hypnosis skills before a script will be of any use whatsoever.

And that's the catch about hypnosis scripts really. Before you will be able to use them, you will need to be able to hypnotize someone. Once you learn certain techniques for induction and deepening you will probably be fairly familiar with what you should be doing during the session anyway - and at that point a script may become less necessary than you thought.

However, considering the thousands of potential topics you could cover during hypnosis, it is well worth your time to at least read through a script before you begin. Many professionals will write their own scripts or at least notes, but with scripts so readily available making your own is an exercise in reinventing the wheel. There are so many well done scripts available for free or in packages for purchase that it hardly makes sense to write them from scratch. You will certainly want to make notes or minor changes so that your own personal preferences and personality - or even techniques shine through, but a good script can save you loads of time.

Like most things, not all hypnosis materials are created equal. Be sure you are getting your information from a reputable source, much the same way you might do if you needed a standard contract form for a business. Not every contract you can get on the internet was actually written by a lawyer. And just like a legal contract, you might very well be better off with hiring a lawyer to write one for your specific situation.

So in the end, knowing if or when a hypnosis script is the right thing has a lot to do with who is asking. But for the most part they are a valuable tool for nearly anyone to use during hypnosis. As long as you get your script from a hypnosis professional, you will probably find that they can save you time and effort. If you are relatively new to hypnosis, you should definitely practice with scripts for some time until you become fluid with the process. For the pro, scripts can still provide valuable insight in various

Not All Hypnotherapy is the Same

An excellent technique delivers much better results

Many people believe that hypnotherapy is a uniform treatment. However, different hypnotherapists use different techniques and some techniques are better than others.

Hypnotherapists often hear people saying 'I've tried hypnotherapy before. It didn't work.' However, what people often do not realise is that just because hypnotherapy didn't work for them with a specific therapist, it doesn't mean that hypnotherapy doesn't work. It's similar to saying "I went to school but didn't pass any exams, and therefore school doesn't work". It clearly depends on many factors, including the quality of the teaching at the school and your commitment to learning.

The skill of the therapist and, more importantly, the specific techniques they are trained in affect success rates. A good hypnotherapist with an excellent technique will deliver far better results than those using more basic methods.

Some hypnotherapy approach and techniques are better than others

Finding out which are best is not easy because every hypnotherapist believes their approach is best. This can be difficult because many hypnotherapists assume their client is cured, without checking a few months after the hypnotherapy.

The trouble with many of the quick fix cures, such as the fast phobia cure, is that they are just that. They can appear to work after one session, but often that change is short term or doesn't work at all, and that, of course, is not a solution.

In addition, some hypnotherapists weaken their therapy with other therapies such as CBT (behavioural therapy) and NLP (neuro linguistic programming). This is similar to using two or three different recipes for a cake at the same time - it might taste good, but it might not and you won't know until it's come out of the oven. Specialist advanced hypnotherapy is like following the best and tastiest, tried and tested recipe. You leave nothing to chance, knowing that it will taste good each and every time you make it.

Clients want permanent changes and solutions to their problem. To get a higher long term success rate, hypnotherapy with specialise is required.

Suggestion hypnosis

Suggestion based hypnotherapy is the most commonly hypnotherapy on the market. Ideas or 'suggestions' around new attitudes and behaviours are given during hypnosis. For uncomplicated problems, the treatment can work well. However, the downside with suggestion hypnotherapy is that it can appear to work after a session, but because it doesn't address the real cause of the issue, it can manifest in other ways or return later.

Research indicates that suggestion works for around a third of issues, except in cases of clients suffering from paranoid schizophrenia or brain damage.

One of the largest scientific studies on hypnotherapy success was reported in the New Scientist in October 1992(1). Comparing success rates for stop smoking therapies, 72,000 people across 600 studies were evaluated, and hypnosis was proven to be the most successful stop smoking treatment on the market. Even the most basic suggestion hypnotherapy tapes worked far more effectively than any other treatment, including willpower, nicotine patches and counselling. Suggestion hypnosis was shown, to have at worst a 30 per cent success rate, but it could double to 60 per cent with a good, trusted therapist and good suggestion.

These success rates are impressive and significantly better that any other treatment for stop smoking on the marketing, including nicotine patches and Champix/Chantix. However, more specialist advanced techniques have been shown to be even more successful.

Hypno-analysis

Hypno-analysis, also known as 'free association', is another technique which currently appears to be very popular. This approach can delve deeper into the inner mind and involves asking the subconscious mind to bring forward information relating to the problem.

However, problems can arise with as this undirected approach. This is because it can also bring up more issues in addition to the one the client came in with. Not only can this leave the client more problems than the original one, it can establish an unhealthy dependence on the therapist.

Advanced hypnotherapy can be a permanent solution

When used properly, advanced hypnotherapy, can be permanent solution because it takes a holistic approach to addressing the problem. An advanced hypnotherapist will have undertaken specialist training and is rare. The advanced hypnotherapist is skilled at gaining direct access to the subconscious mind and finding the root of the problem. The problem can be addressed once the source of it has been found.

Just like an expert computer hacker, the advanced hypnotherapy specialist eliminates the 'mind viruses' causing the issues. When the 'mind viruses' are deleted and the attitudes and behaviour pattern reprogrammed, the problem can be fixed.

Hypnotherapy's success has been proven in thousands of academic research studies. One notable study was by Von Dedenroth (1968), who found 94 per cent of over 1,000 smokers that stopped smoking with hypnotherapy reported being non-smokers at least 18 months later(2).

Advanced hypnotherapy using regression can work within just 3-7 sessions, compared with suggestion or hypno-analysis that can take up to 20 sessions and still not be fixed. Advanced structured hypnotherapy involves following set of specific protocols that address the problem from all sides. The approach works with a client's unique mind programmes. It works with the parts of the mind keeping the problem in place and age regression to bring forward information to help understand, solve and deal with the problem. Once the source of the problem has been dealt with, suggestion is used to lay down the foundations of a new set of behaviours and attitudes.

Age regression is essential to ensuring that the root of the problem is reached and dealt with permanently. It is a specialist skill, but one that delivers a long term result for most people, most of the time.

Hypnosis Is Not Sleep

There are many myths that people have around hypnosis. The myth even makes hypnosis renowned. Many people think that hypnosis is an all - powerful force that control mind of other people, is capable of communicating with the dead person, is capable of watching destiny, and other unbelievable things for ordinary people. As a hypnotist you should have correct understanding on hypnosis. You should know what hypnosis is and is not. This article will explain that hypnosis is not sleep.

Hypnosis has long been associated with sleep. Hypnotists get difficulty to elaborate that a subject under hypnosis is not sleeping. The myth might not be revealed till the end of the day because what people see on stage shows that the person is in a sleeping condition. A subject under hypnosis usually closes his eyes and seems to pays no attention to his environment.

Hypnosis is actually closer to the waking state than ordinary sleep. In fact, a subject under hypnosis tends to be more aware of things going on around him. The subject is more aware of the sound of the hypnotist, especially. He is also more aware of the feeling and sensation.

Hypnotic sleeping differs from ordinary sleeping. In ordinary sleeping we are not aware almost the night long. We are totally unconscious. Our mind, as if, disappears somewhere during the nighttime and returns back the next morning. It is possible some of us still remember part of our dream, but the most part there is clear distinction between hypnotic sleeping and ordinary sleeping. Hypnotic sleeping enables the subject under hypnosis to respond to suggestions given by a hypnotist while ordinary sleeping prevents the subject from communicating with his surrounding.

Sleeping in hypnosis has many connotations. For the subject, sleep puts the hypnotic experience into a familiar context. For the audience, sleep helps explain the phenomena they are observing on stage. And finally, for the operator, the association of sleep provides a framework for his hypnotic presentation.

Reasons To Practice Self-Hypnosis

Self-hypnosis is considered the most precious self-development tool in the whole world for the enrichment of our lives. Self-hypnosis is a technique in which you focus yourself to attain desired goals or any belief by putting positive suggestions into your subconscious mind, through relaxation. In this technique you can add those qualities or habits that you think you don't have, similarly you can change anything about yourself that you don't like. It allows you to reprogram your subconscious mind to eliminate those negative thoughts polluting your mind and to achieve greatest success in your life. It also allows detoxifying the mind, body and spirit.

Here are the Top Ten Reasons Why We Should Practice Self-Hypnosis:

1. Self-hypnosis may be used in releasing pain
Pain medicine may cause serious side-effects like gastric ulcers, drowsiness, addiction etc. By using self-hypnosis, we can alleviate chronic pain from different medical conditions. Self-hypnosis can be used in chronic pain in cancer patients. The proposed mechanism is that the natural pain killers in our body such as endorphins are released from our brain when we do self-hypnosis.

2. Self-Hypnosis may be used to quit smoking

To quit smoking is the most difficult among all vices. It is much easier to stop drinking alcohol than to quit smoking. This is due to the hundred of addictive chemicals in tobacco that causes withdrawal syndromes whenever a smoker starts quitting. Self-hypnosis will reprogram the mind and through continuous sessions will eventually make a smoker quit easier.

3. Self-hypnosis may be used to lose weight
With obesity reaching the epidemic state in US and in the future the whole world, the danger of its complications to one's health is very alarming. By using self-hypnosis, the cravings for fatty and sweet foods will be lessened. It will also accelerate the will to do exercise and other physical activities. The same mechanism of targeting release of neurochemicals from the brain is the accepted mechanism.

4. Self-hypnosis may be used to improve the memory

Purifying the subconscious mind from impurities will improve the memory. Self-hypnosis can calm and organize the mind so that it can retain previous information thus improving memory.

5. Self-hypnosis can heal our body and mind
As stated, self-hypnosis can calm the mind and spirit. This will relax our body and mind and is very effective in dealing with stress. Stress when taken out of our body could improve our immune system and accelerate healing.

6. Self-hypnosis may be used in dealing with fears and phobias

Fears and phobias are human limitations that must be dealt. Self-hypnosis encouraging self confidence could change our attitude towards our fears and phobias. The reprogramming of the mind is the key concept on the effectiveness of self-hypnosis in dealing with fears and phobias.

7. Self-hypnosis may be used in enhancing your sex life

Impotence and erectile dysfunction are examples of sexual disorders improved by self-hypnosis. Sex therapists use the technique of self-hypnosis to treat such disorders. This has something to do with mind control over sexual stimulation that is neuronal in nature.

8. Self-hypnosis may improve sleep disorders

More and more people suffer from insomnia. Aside from medications, self-hypnosis is effective in inducing sleep. The calming effect of the self-hypnosis technique can improve insomnia.

9. Self-hypnosis may be used to Relieve anxiety and depression
People suffering from anxiety disorders such as stage fright may benefit from self-hypnosis. Hypnotherapists treat patients with acute anxiety and depression by conducting sessions that will improve their confidence and self-control.

10. Self-hypnosis may be used to manage stress

Stress according to studies from Harvard University can cause different diseases such as increase blood sugar and blood pressure. Managing stress effectively with good rest and self-hypnosis will also improve one's health. Self-hypnosis can calm the internal organs like the heart which will decrease the heart rate and blood pressure.

In our restless world where stress and different diseases are being experienced by almost all walks of life, it is very practical to spend a few minutes for self-hypnosis to improve one's health. Self-hypnosis is inexpensive yet very effective. It improves every aspect of our health- physical, mental, and emotional. Start learning self-hypnosis and you will see the difference in your well-being.

Sharpen Your Memory With Hypnosis

Hypnosis is an incredible tool to develop a powerful memory. Not only does it help strengthen memory by using certain visualization and meditation techniques, but it also works by increasing brain size, growing new, healthy cells and thickens parts of the brain associated with memory and cognition. You have the power to create a super memory powerhouse inside your brain with the flip of a switch-you just need the correct resources and the right instructions to help turn it on.

Studies have shown that meditation and hypnosis is beneficial in creating new brain cells and can actually thicken parts of the brain associated with memory, cognition and attention. This is revolutionary work, as in the past, the brain was seen as a fixed organ that couldn't grow after a certain developmental age. However thought alone has been shown, time and time again, to increase brain size and cortical thickness.

To strengthen your memory, the best way is to perform self hypnosis. This is an easy technique that can be learned within minutes. It is best to have someone guiding you through the hypnosis session, so your brain can stay directed toward the specific outcome. However, if you have the time and the determination, you can do this yourself.

Find a quite place to relax. Fully and completely relax every muscle in your body, and continue to breathe and relax for about 5 to 10 minutes. This alone will help develop the mind and strengthen the parts of the brain associated with memory. You might also try to visualize or imagine a machine in your mind, or a super-storehouse that supplies all of your memories. Each time a memory goes into this storehouse or machine, it gets processed immediately and stored in an orderly place to easy retrieving. Continue in this imagination for about 5 to 10 minutes, as well. A hypnosis program that is geared toward strengthening and developing a strong memory will focus on deeper techniques, but this will get you on the right path.
